This is a white-banded spider. these little creatures can camouflage to look like the plant they are sitting on so they can ambush their prey, which is usually pollinators. This little monster was right by the yellow flowers from my pigeon pea plant.

I’m going to miss all the greenery & bright colors, but it’s time to plan for fall. Hope you’ll join me!

Sungold tomatoes never make it in the house because they’re so delicious. This is probably half of the harvest because I ate some as I was picking them. 😆 What do you grow that never quite makes it inside?

Potato update! 🥔 They’re doing so great!

Time for pole beans, those natural climbers that love to spiral upwards! Using a pole tent provides vertical support on all sides and allows for air circulation. I always add twine around my pool tent as an added layer for support for my plants. This will be so beautiful once everything is in bloom.

Peas climb BEST on a grid trellis! Their tiny tendrils need small gaps to grip, unlike beans that wrap poles. More airflow, easier harvests, and NO flopping! Try bamboo + twine for the perfect setup. #GardenSky #Gardening #PeasPlease

Last summer I found Colorado potato beetle larvae in my garden! I had never seen them IRL before, but I found them just in time! Luckily, I was pruning and happened to find these on 3 plants. The affected plants were NOT near the marigold, onion, or nasturtiums which can deter these pests.

In case you want some sweet news today. I’m volunteering at the book fair at my kid’s school, and discovered Dav Pilkey paid for the whole thing. For the entire school. Every kid pre-k through fifth grade (the whole school) goes home with two free books.

Elapsed time of me waking up in the middle of the night planning to grow eggplant & some companions, just because I love eggplant. I started laughing watching the entire 3 minutes of this since I thought to screen record it in case I couldn’t remember what I planned. #Gardener things 😂

Happy Spring! I cleaned up this bed a TINY bit, removing the dried marigold & tomato, planting some bare roots & worm castings, then leaving those leaves. My 2025 garden plan for this bed is to have some beautiful blooms that attract pollinators. Today makes me excited about what’s to come!

After the spine surgeon (who told me about permanent damage & potentially another surgery) we went to Costco. The vibe was amazing! The price on produce? Incredible! The 2 six packs of muffins giant muffins for 9.99. ♥️

At the dr for my annual spine evaluation on the 2nd anniversary of my spinal surgery. Literally restored my ability to walk. Hardest but best procedure ever.

Class tonight, prof gives us extra time (ends lecture early) so we can work with our partners on a project. My partner isn’t there. They dropped the class & now I have to do it solo. *Cheers in introvertdom*
