Turok 2's multiplayer has the ability to change level textures for some reason. The texture set "Mr. Happy" has a surreal dreamlike quality to it.

I've never really liked how PBR rendering makes everything look washed out and dull. It makes things look like a dreary day with tons of rain.

The original Animal Crossing having an unused paper airplane item that can multiply across your town and eventually crash it due to infestation is so funny to me.

I've mentioned it before but more low poly indies should use photosourced textures for their environments. In an age where digital cameras are built into phones it is easier than ever to do so.

Played yet another strange custom SM64 level called "Little vs. Big". They really put a star that spawns when you backwards long jump.

All of the beginner courses for Bow Golf are done. Getting the physics to work without issue has been the most frustrating thing thus far.

Its funny that one of the hardest things ever made in SM64 is two walls slapped onto the first level that requires 64+ frame-perfect wall kicks to get all the stars.

At what point does topology no longer count as low poly? Kinda need all these polygons since physics objects need smooth collision to play nicely.

Decided to drop TWOC and finished Twinsanity (which will be the final Crash I play) I have a lot to say about this game and I'm aware it was released unfinished I do think the positives outweigh the flaws, and it really shows with the game's strong community despite its roughness

If I were allowed to make a game with any IP I'd make a Garfield bounty hunter game where he hunts down vampires in a gothic wild west.

One thing you can do to make low-poly scenes more interesting is to make things slightly crooked. Rayman 2 does this everywhere (though not as extreme as my example)

The ring spinning the wrong way was a programming error but I'm keeping it this way because it adds an element of timing and leading your throws.

Strange target fella

Working on a huge project that didn't do well before my current game was a blessing because I'm able to handle and manage scope creep and what is pushing too much for solodev.

Trying to figure out how the golf courses should look like. I think surrounding them in water makes sense as an easy visual for out of bounds. Fall into the water and you lose.

Mickey's Speedway USA and Crash Bash are in the same genre of "games that look assuming but have demonic energy underneath the surface"

Final Bow Golf update until I actually make some courses for this. It now has the final polish pass. Programming this was a massive pain as I had to make physics objects behave nicely lol

I listened to the Lego Racers build mode music ONCE during game dev and its all I could hear during my sleep. Evil-ass song.

Spent 2 hours just tweaking physics values until it worked right. Also changed how the camera works a bit. I'll give it another pass tomorrow, I've been up all day lol
