If you are in the STL area and have kids, be sure to check out the free family concerts at Jazz St. Louis! It’s such a great venue to introduce kids to live jazz, my kids, ages 6-13 all loved it. Their next family concert is 5/18.

A1: The law firm my district works with has monthly webinars which helps us stay on top of legal issues, and topics are current. If we can’t join live we can watch the recordings later.

I read Where the Red Fern Grows to my 4th graders. Everyone was in tears at the end and they were MAD at me for reading them such a sad story. After listening to
@ttmproject.bsky.social
recall his experience with this book, maybe I need to find my former students (now in HS) and check in on them.

It shouldn’t be about money. It shouldn’t be about power. The focus should be on loving others well, this is our calling.

As an admin, one of my favorite things is when classes send me special invitations to see their learning. Today students proudly and enthusiastically shared the pinball machines they engineered in science, it was the highlight of my day!

If there are 7” of snow on the playground (and more on the way tonight), and it won’t get to above freezing until Sunday before dropping back below freezing on Monday - how many indoor recesses will we have?

Road Trip Reads - Book 1: In The Door of No Return, author Kwame Alexander delicately, and lovingly, brings us to 1860 and into Offin’s life in the Asante Kingdom. While I found this book in the juvenile section of the library, it is an important read for all ages.

Made a school related Target run on my way home. Only to realize as I parked that I was still in my Elf Day attire and my walkie was still clipped to me too.

We are wasting the resource of our special education teachers if we limit them mostly to helping students complete work. Their skills can reach so much farther when they are in the role of co-designing instruction.

My favorite tools to work with dysregulated students are: Model wind turbine Pipe cleaners and UV beads Empty cardboard boxes Digital microscope Snap Circuits I think there’s something powerful about physically problem solving tangible things while also problem solving the less tangible ones.
