I read Where the Red Fern Grows to my 4th graders. Everyone was in tears at the end and they were MAD at me for reading them such a sad story. After listening to @ttmproject.bsky.social recall his experience with this book, maybe I need to find my former students (now in HS) and check in on them.

As an admin, one of my favorite things is when classes send me special invitations to see their learning. Today students proudly and enthusiastically shared the pinball machines they engineered in science, it was the highlight of my day!

Road Trip Reads - Book 1: In The Door of No Return, author Kwame Alexander delicately, and lovingly, brings us to 1860 and into Offin’s life in the Asante Kingdom. While I found this book in the juvenile section of the library, it is an important read for all ages. #historicalfiction

We are wasting the resource of our special education teachers if we limit them mostly to helping students complete work. Their skills can reach so much farther when they are in the role of co-designing instruction. #LeadInclusion #EduSky #UDL

My favorite tools to work with dysregulated students are: Model wind turbine Pipe cleaners and UV beads Empty cardboard boxes Digital microscope Snap Circuits I think there’s something powerful about physically problem solving tangible things while also problem solving the less tangible ones.
