Spent the day yesterday in State Farm Arena doing a show, hanging in the media area during the draft, catching up with old friends, and enjoying one whale of an Atlanta Hawks draft.

Really not a fan of the Derik Queen archetype with the Hawks at 13 but would be willing to hear folks out on it. Right now I really think the wings are where it’s at for 13 and a big at 22.

The best TV shows of 2025 so far are a mix of old-school procedurals and adventurous dramas. My picks:

The Hawks had one of the all time outside shooters on their team (Jason Terry) and gave him away to Dallas for the remains of Antoine Walker and Tony Delk. And sent a conditional first round pick with him, too! (It didn’t convey). Completely under-discussed. (from @automaticnba.bsky.social)

Per Hawks PR, Dyson Daniels is the youngest player in at least 50 years to get to 200 steals in a season. The Hawks have 11 more games after this.

I’ve really enjoyed his rookie season. Surprisingly capable defense all season, and big improvement offensively. But the best has been all the reports of his work ethic, which makes his ceiling even higher.
