I can’t stop thinking “Imperfections or things I allow to be half formed and lazy because they won’t notice are me being no different from a careless AI image generator.” Before it was a different sort of anxiety, but this age has added another level of self judgment and guilt to the equation.

Hathaway 2: I saw it in tourism hell on a Saturday morning so I could score the kind of seat I like. The non-tourism hell theater was dub-only. I should have watched the dub, because the glare from the white subtitles made it hard to see in the dark.

Are we still drawing the guys wearing those outfits? I spent more time than I care to admit looking for reference, and the most thorough reference I can find is the figurines. I noticed something interesting about these two outfits and wondered if that related to the characters they’re based on.

A while back I was going to riff on this little bit of Rhythm Emotion that I always thought was super cool, which meant I had to study it. That felt good, though I never did the parody.

Having a really “not liking myself” day where my mind conjures the same melodramatic scripts about my humanity and I resist the urge to blab that garbage to a captive audience. Well, I only resisted a little. I forced a sketch so I could blab about not blabbing all that because numbers equal love.

OK, I had to get the rest off my chest, obvious drop in quality be damned.

I wanted to cleanse my palate with some Amuro. I thought “That collab was like six years ago. Is this appropriate?” and then I remembered how old both Gundam and Hello Kitty are. So it’s ok.

You know… I WAS trying to stay in my lane. I told myself I was putting this nonsense aside, that I was going to stay in my lane, stop appropriating and fetishizing, and even develop some demographic-appropriate interests. And then Endless Waltz came to theaters. I…. didn’t even try. Oh my god.

Having slept on this, I feel that puppy face is weak and I could have maximized the puppitude with more effort but I craved that attention too much and released it half cooked. (It doesn't break my self imposed rule against posting without a drawing if I quote repost my own art because I said so)

The Duality of #GarmaZabi: According to Gundam The Origin, Garma’s fursona is officially a puppy, as evidenced by the many scenes where his eyes light up and he says memorable lines like, “Char, bark bark!” or “Icelina, bark bark!” or “Approval? BARK BARK BARK BARK!"

They're right about carrying a sketch/notebook around because you'll forget things right away. I found this note to myself about something I'd forgotten about seeing. This father with coiffed hair and sunglasses pushing a child with coiffed hair and sunglasses in a stroller feels useful now.

Of course, Garma’s fursona could be more conventional. Can’t go wrong with Cat Garma.

Hahahahaha oh man I’m freaking out right now (in a minor, melodramatic way) things have taken a turn and I am feeling perceived in ways I hadn’t planned for. But this good! I think. Oh man I’ve made things super awkward in barely a week, haven’t I?

So, uh… in my head I was gonna start doing stuff related to a weird sorta Garma Ghost Story that was rattling around in my head? I’m not so sure now. There is a LOT of nonsense to contend with, and I’m not so good at actually making things happen. So much nonsense. So little executive function.

I started this account because I fell down the UC 79 rabbit hole and now I am full of Garma brainworms, and this seems to be the place with people who appreciate Garma content in these times.

HERE I AM and I promise to you and myself that I will not post a single navel gaze, stray thought, whatever unless I have some sort of drawing to attach to it. Let’s see how well I do at that.
