So NASA has chosen today to release the type of images of 3I/Atlas they should've released weeks ago. Of course these are still so distant the object just looks like a typical comet, going from one extreme to the other. Now we should be seeing the clear closeups with defining details. Why???

Are these new strains of Flu actually more severe, or are we seeing the effects of repeated Covid infections having caused so much damage to our immune systems? Or worse, both? Why find out the hard way? If only we had stuff to help prevent catching airborne viruses, like N95s Oh wait...

Instead of waiting for the Flu or Covid to infect you, one could simply avoid most of these bugs by simply wearing an N95. Is it really better to feel like crap for a couple weeks, miss work /school, and take your chances with your future health. We don't fully understand viruses yet.

Why do we have systems to protect us from an alien threat? Are we expecting an alien threat? (assuming 3I/Atlas is not that) It seems odd to spend billions on such an extremely unlikely event, unless it's not so unlikely. What are we not being told? Was the 1940's crash real?

I'm really leaning towards 3I/Atlas being a big rock, over the big chunk of ice theory. Ice is hard but also fragile. In billions of years of flying around, odds are this object likely collided with something (probably smaller) along the way. Ever have a pebble crack your windshield?

The reason I am a bit suspicious about 3I'Atlas is the string of coincidences, followed by typical 'nothing to see here" and 'training exercises' responses about an object that is entirely new to us. Did NASA hope they could technobabble us out of interest? There's too much attention for a nothing.

Aren't training drills usually done in controlled environments, where equipment and people can be tested within given parameters? It just seems quite a coincidence that so many militaries and agencies are opting to do training exercises all at the same time, not just tracking 3I/Atlas.

If we allow the USPS to be handed over to the rich, the rich will want to profit from it the same way they profit from everything else. This may include understaffing, service cutbacks, price increases, delays, more PO box rentals, and maybe even junk fees. It will not improve service in the end.

Whether this image, by Dr. Sebastian Voltmer, is real, enhanced, or otherwise, is irrelevant for this: Why hasn't NASA released images that look like this, clearly showing shape, form, and color? A basic wall poster quality snapshot of the object, as they typically show of other nifty space stuff.

Saying that 3I/Atlas is a comet because it has a coma and a tail is like saying a swan is a duck because it has feathers and webbed feet. Lots of things look like other things. Insisting there is nothing to see here usually means there is everything to see here. What are we supposed to believe?

Here's a fun question: Did 3I/Atlas come straight here at its current speed? Or did it slow down from FTL before we could see it? Or is it a galactic pinball, bouncing off objects in space? Because one of these makes a living being factor way more possible.

Why 3I/Atlas is unlikely to be an alien ship; It would have to contain an technology that never requires any sort of repair, no accidents. Otherwise it would need food, medicine, and supplies enough to support life and repairs for billions of years, and use something like solar energy for fuel.

Just because you cannot recognize how someone expresses emotion does not mean they do not feel emotions. Stop assuming neurodivergent people are incapable of feelings. They may have simply chosen not to share their emotions with you.

So NASA has released better blurry pics of 3I/Atlas. When NASA wants to do a thing, they do the impossible to get it done. They landed on an asteroid, but can't get decent pics of this one thing? With as much attention at this 'comet' is getting, something here does not add up. Why???

Just to be clear, I have no idea whether 3I/Atlas is an unusual comet or something entirely different. Either way it's something we haven't seen before. What is highly suspicious is the lack of clear images from NASA. If it's just a weird comet, why not show it off as they usually do?

Theory: Could the reason NASA isn't showing us clear images of 3I/Atlas be because someone in a political position decided against getting them, and now no one wants to admit, or can't admit, they missed a lot of chances to take clear images of this new unusual object?

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. What are we to think when it has the tail of a duck, and another tail, and the folks that have seen the thing up close will only show us blurry pics of the rest of the creature? Show us the duck. This is not about ducks.

Lets think about 3I/Atlas sensibly. In theory, if this 'comet' is alien, an attack would be unlikely. There is nothing here, except living species, that cannot be found elsewhere in space. It took 3I/Atlas too many years to get here for war to be viable. Research or contact would make more sense.

It seems to me, either NASA has no idea what 3I/Atlas is and our leaders don't want panic... Or, NASA knows it isn't just a natural phenomenon and our leaders don't want the same panic of the unknown intentions or us banding together as humans, destroying the system that benefits the rich.
