#dev2days - I got other stuff to do today so I'm postin early. Working on this design for the main NPC of the game. I will be try more on iterations until i like more than just the head design. This one is an improvement from what i started with at least.

#dev2days - finally figured out most of this design. takes longer then you think every time. I might have overdid the back a bit, but we will see when it comes to model.

#dev2days - I took some old designs I never finished and re-worked them to work better for this gamejam So far I like this direction for this MC. I got ideas, its coming together.

#dev2days - I'm pivoting my dev project to a game jam entry for the this metroidvania game jam! me and another dev are workin together, but while i wait for a theme I started sketchin character shape variations for something i wanted to make in-line with a metroidvania in case it happens to align.

bonus sketch dump, just random stuff I have been doing in between dev while trying to get used to the new drawing setup. new super quick sketch app means I draw more. I gotta stop trying to draw unnatural poses tho. Its Lotta brain work, but I must enjoy it cause I keep doin it.

#dev2days - taking a bit of getting used to the new drawing setup, so progress is slow but its worth it. Got the lines at least, fixed stuff from last time.

#dev2days - Only very little progress this time because i got a new drawing tablet and had to set it up and still didn't get the feature i wanted yet so I decided to try out a bunch of stuff and long story sort it was a LOT of time spent setting up.

#dev2days - I'm back doing more technical stuff for made up science-ish equipment! Another 2 hours in, another two orthogonal views, good enough for now! 2 more days and maybe I'll get 2 more angles.

#devtober day 31 - It felt appropriate to finish this by finally using my environment art for what I meant it for. The intro animation scene storyboard. I didn't NEED to all of it for this, but all of it had some hand in figuring stuff. I'll try and to the postmortem stuff tomorrow.

#devtober day 30 - I tried improving the composition with more trees. Idk if its better, I'll have to do something else and come back to it to see it, but for now I did too much beat saber and this is as much as could do before I hurt.

#devtober day 29 - working on this scenic shot still. The left felt empty so I tried adding some trees. I sketched a foreground tree to see if i liked it for composition and I'm still not sure.

#devtober day 28 - found another uncolored sketch, this one has more going on so I tried to figure out as much as i could in the time so i didn't switch colors so i could mostly get stuff like values close. So its like... grayscale but not gray. Greenscale? sure why not.

#devtober day 27 - found a sketch I didn't color so I colored it.

#devtober day 26 - I really needed something new so I tried to come up with generic attack-able enemies that would fit in the setting but still be in the spirit of spooky month too.

#devtober day 24 - more technical sketching. I really gotta find something to sketch more freely. Too many days in a row of the same thing.

#devtober day 23 - try to figure out another tech thingamabob I made. Why did I make so many? I'm thinking of pivoting this one to a coolant monitor of sorts? like 3 samples of different stages in the flow? Something like that, I will see if I can make that work.

#devtober day 22 - made some fixes and splashed in some color. I say another one good enough to move onto other stuff.

#devtober day 21 - refolding my unfolded view for fun and for a base for later sketching. I also got lost making the pattern for the standing area and and it took some time more than anticipated but its all good.

#devtober day 20 - I am here mentally unfolding panels of made up consoles. In a cave. With my drawing monitor turning to scrap. It will work again I just gotta let it rest. It's sorta good because Its a reminder to take a break! It's a feature.

#devtober day 19 - I wanted to sketch something, so I started defining another prop design for these center console things. Tia-V for size.

#devtober day 18 - idk gud colors and I have been switchin lots and now they all look bad. How ya feel about beige? Also no one told me 2 of my fan blades where backwards. Hopefully fresher eyes tomorrow helps me find why I don't like this so I can move on.

#devtober day 17 - switched back to this to start color. only got as far is this block in and gonna leave the rest for tomorrow.

#devtober day 16 - colored and callin in it "gud enuf" to move onto something else tomorrow after like 6 days of this one prop... ugh.

#devtober day 15 - I wanted to do more but I am sleep, so could only fix a few things and add probably too many labels.

#devtober day 14 - more tech drawing. now i got 3 different layers to hopefully be clearer about overlaps. still got a few things to do then label and color.

#devtober day 13 - Still on this. If you saw a different day 13 ignore it I was not paying attention enough, had to redesign parts. I will probably have to do more versions and breakouts because of all the overlapping parts. I thinks its getting there tho.

#devtober day 12 - I think I'm figuring it out. I chose stupid angles for a technical drawing first of all, but after some lasso tool and redraws I think am starting I like it.

#devtober day 11 - figuring out whatever this thing is in a more 3D-friendly design is proving a more difficult task than I thought, but its sorta progress. I'm just reminding myself how hard it is to capture style and keep it mechanical.

#devtober day 10 - Trying to splash some color variation into this. after another 2 hours of adjustments i think I'm gonna have to call it "good enough" and do something else tomorrow and maybe come back to polish with fresher eyes.

#devtober day 9 - Still trying to figure out how to color. Real hard not to lose confidence, but I'm not stopping yet.

#devtober day 8 - another 2 hours today, only able to clean up lines more and do a very very rough shading pass. I'm just trying to start to see the 3d forms. so far eh.

#devtober day 7 - Not a ton of time or motivation today, so I am trying to fix up my sketch for the bunker hallway. got a lot to go.

#devtober day 6 - more hours drawing chairs. again, more time than expected. remind me these technical drawings take longer than I think they will. every time.

#devtober day 5 - my rough top ortho-ish view of the thing from yesterday. I wanted to side and front/back but I spent far to look making a grate that's just the right mix of style and industrial rigidness. Please appreciate my nice grate. Thank you.

#devtober day 4 - focusing on a chair prop, Spent longer than i intended but i think i got it roughly figured out. Can't wait to color it and ruin everything I like about it atm.

#devtober day 3 - few more hours on this and I think I'm overdoing it for the purpose of getting the concept here, and I think i can instead start focus on a few specific elements and break them out for 3d model reference. Then

#devtober day 2 - few more hours and this is all i could add to this one, I'm still trying to block out colors and get something I like.

#devtober day 1 - started with the sketch and I'm trying to be quick and efficient with blocking the "idea" with SOME color and this as far as I could get with current knowledge in about 2 hours.
