The best thing about this season of The Sandman is seeing Jack Gleeson doing an absolutely amazing performance. It’s an absolute joy. Plus, the reimagined Loki is rather awesome.

Finished reading Thursday Murder Club. I quite enjoyed it. So that’s book number 4 read this year. What’s next?

Finished reading the Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley for the book club this week. It was ok. Felt heavily inspired by Marvel’s TVA. Now reading Thursday Murder Club which is book 4 of this year.

I met this wonderful chap today - Mr Moustachio. His fluffy moustache was totally awesome.

I drew some flowers today. I’m going to add colour to them shortly. It’s a nice way to distract the mind for a bit.

Another painted stone to help my poor brain. It’s done with metallic paint so the effect under normal light is rather magical.

Was awake at 3:30am and up at 4am to sort a poorly dog. Now off to pick up my new glasses. It’s a nice bright day but my headache is banging.

Taking 2 weeks to look after myself on Doctor’s orders. This includes a daily prescribed walk. Feeling naff any tired, but trying.

I’ve been terrible at reading books for years but Uni ruined my recreational reading. My new years resolution is to read at least 6 books this year. I finished book 1 yesterday: The Foxglove King, Hannah Whitten. It was rather good. A unique magic system, good story, kept my interest. Next: Butter.

Was at a conference today where the speaker said “I hope you all know you have unconditional worth” and my body went “nope”. And that hit hard.

A fantastic and cold walk in Yorkshire sculpture park today. Would recommend.

Two nights of rubbish sleep and seeing almost every hour on my clock as the time passed. Exhausted on the sofa at 7pm but wide awake when lying in bed. Sigh. Magnesium didn’t help. Caffeine-free sleepy tea didn’t either. Brain is just running colours and noise. #insomniasky

Due to suffering from the worst lurgy ever for the past week, I’ve only just decorated my Christmas cake - doesn’t it look cute!

Christmas memory 10: school fairs. Each year, in December, my school would host a fair with games and stalls. The idea was to bring in things to sell. Each year my mum would raid our rooms for things to take to the fair. We were rarely asked about what would be taken to sell.

Christmas memory 10: school trip to see a Robin Hood Panto. It was the junior class trip to a local theatre that started an actor from the Children’s Hospital TV show. Part way through the show the actors selected some children to go in stage. I was picked to go on stage and compete in games.
