For me, #Superman  is not only the best Superman movie, but it’s possibly the best comic book movie in the post-COVID era. It’s fun, flashy and, well, super. Corenswet is a chatty, charismatic Supes. A great time and I look forward to the future of DC Studios under Gunn and Safran.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING ties up loose ends of the franchise while also coming full circle on storylines I never imagined would be revisited. I was surprised the film opts for more tension than action, but when there is action it’s unsurprisingly awesome. I had a great time.

Saw A MINECRAFT MOVIE with a packed house tonight. Multiple times where fans burst into applause and cheered at moments that went over my head. One moment included a pig in a crown. Anyways, I’m old but I’m glad they had fun.

Was skeptical of the positivity surrounding Wicked, but went in open-minded. I found it thoroughly enjoyable but not as amazing as general sentiment seems to be. I can understand if you’re a Wicked fanatic you would find this adaptation to be amazing. Good either way.

THE IRON CLAW is an imperfect film that shows both the joy and devastation that family can bring, with some wrestling sprinkled in. Holt McCallany is particularly great.

Prepared for this to be a totally happy and uplifting experience.

THE TOXIC AVENGER contains plenty of bloody mop swinging and silly slap-stick humor. Practical effects will please fans of the original. Perfect for a full Fantastic Fest crowd.

STRAYS is easily the hardest I’ve laughed in a movie theater in a long time. Capitalizes on every trope you’ve ever seen in a dog movie for some great payoff. Super funny stuff and Will Ferrell is in peak ‘aw shucks’ mode

#Oppenheimer feels important as you’re watching it in a way that doesn’t come across artificial. Cillian Murphy shines in what is likely a career-defining role. A big triumph for Nolan.
