Together with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya we marked an important milestone - the inauguration of the Information Point for Belarusian people. The dialogue with Belarusian democratic forces and civil society is intensifying through the Contact Group & bringing our work closer to people.

Agreed with Minister Rita Tamašunienė that justice for Ukraine is not symbolic. It is essential for Europe’s future security and our common legal space. Lithuania’s strong commitment to address foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI) and related hybrid threats is essential.

Vilnius has become an important democratic hub for those defending freedom in Europe. In discussions with Lithuanian NGOs we explored how to strengthen their role in the New Democratic Pact for Europe.

Good to hear Seimas Speaker Juozas Olekas stress a constructive path on Istanbul Convention ratification and the importance of safeguarding the independence of Lithuania’s public broadcaster. National parliaments are key to the #NewDemocraticPact, boosting trust, resilience, and accountability.
