Primary 7 have been busy recording themselves reading picture books for our buddies in Primary 1 to celebrate Reading Schools Week. We hope they can enjoy watching them over the next few weeks.

Harps and Beats Club started today!We learned how to play a musical scale on the harp. We also showed creativity when composing our own music using digital software. 🎶🎶🎶

Our new lunch time club, Books and Biscuits, was both relaxing and delicious! 📕🍪

P4 had so much fun with Mr Barclay this week! We are very excited for our class performance. 🥁🎵

Primary 7 are learning about the Scottish Parliament. We experienced different leadership systems today as we worked together in groups. Some of our groups had members with an equal say, while some had 1 leader making all the decision!

Lunchtime Chess Club is underway for P4-7. Thank you to our Primary 7 pupils for supporting some of the younger members.

P1 have been using technology to capture all the wonderful things God created!

We wanted to perform and didn’t have a space…so we made one! Creativity at its best in P1!

P1 have started the year off right! Making sure we get daily exercise and fresh air, completing our Daily Mile!

Primary 7 were learning about the importance of a balanced diet this week. We investigated nutritional information on food labels and were shocked by the sugar content in some drinks!

Primary 3/4 and Primary 4 had great fun with Mr Barclay from Beat Buddies Music. A very energetic first lesson. We can’t wait for next Monday!

Our upper pupils showed creativity, problem-solving, cooperative and technical skills during this project. We thoroughly enjoyed trying out the different creations and were very positive with our feedback 🤖👏👏👏👏

Primary 4 have had lots of fun learning about electricity! ⚡️ We have built circuits, investigated different conductors and insulators and learned about keeping ourselves safe.

Well done to our Enterprise Committee who recycled crayons to make new ones! Thank to everyone who made a donation for these at the Christmas Show. Today we celebrated our end of term Mass with Father Joe. It was a very prayerful Mass with lovely Christmas hymns. Primary 6 lead the prayers today. We are very proud of them.

Primary 3/4 have been working on our creativity and teamwork skills in STEM today. We planned, created and tested our snowball maze designs. We even gave other groups feedback to improve. @sserc.bsky.social

We had our whole school Christmas pantomime today performed by M&M Productions. Everyone then had some delicious ice cream afterwards 🎄

Digital Leaders VR session 2 - P2 were inside a race car, a yacht and a submarine! They then rode on the best transport of all…Santa‘s sleigh 🛷 🎅

Primary 2 were making posters about different types of transport from the past.

Fr. Ryan blessed the travelling cribs for the beginning of Advent. Primary 1 and 2 enjoyed hearing the Christmas Story.

Our Digital Leader led their first Friday VR session. P5 pupils joined them to explore Vatican City and Jerusalem, they have been learning about these holy places in RE. They also explored a dinosaur land - just for fun! Our Digital Leader showed excellent leadership skills 🦖

Road Safety Week 2025 Our JRSO group presented at assembly about Road Safety Week. It runs from the 16th-22nd November and has the theme ’Safe Vehicles Save Lives’ #RoadSafetyWeek

P6 had an exciting STEM session with staff from Thermo Fisher. Pupils collaborated to extract DNA 🧬 from a strawberry. This involved using scientific equipment, following instructions and lots of squishing! 🍓🍓🍓🍓 The DNA can be seen in the photos of the white substance on the end of the skewers.

After reading the novel ‘War Horse’ and learning about WW1, P6 commemorated Armistice Day by lighting a candle for loved ones who have passed away and learning the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’. One of our pupils brought in her grandfather‘s medals. We were honoured to have them in our classroom.

P2 were making patterns using Lego.

Primary 7 were so excited to show their Primary 1 buddies the fairy trail they made for Outdoor Classroom Day today. We worked hard to create each door, fairy and write about them. If you see our QR codes you can scan them and learn all about the fairy that lives there!

Primary 4 have been learning about The Romans in Social Studies. They are very proud of their beautiful paintings of the Colosseum. 🎨

Primary 4 had a very busy week! We had visitors from a gym manager, a solicitor, a project manager, the ambulance service, an engineer and Scotrail. We also visited Paisley Library. 🤩

Primary 7 have shown excellent badminton skills and sportsmanship this morning! 🏸

Primary 6 are very thankful to all of the World of Work visitors who came into our class this week. We were very inspired! We learned about the types of industries that we could go into, the qualifications required and the skills we need to develop.

Thank you to our Garden Committee who told us about their plans to turn an area of our grounds into a Sensory Garden for all of us to enjoy.

Primary 6 visited the Paisley Library. We read some books, we coloured Halloween sheets and played on the play structure. It was fun! 🎃👻💀📗(posted by P6 Digital Leaders).

Primary 5/6 have had a busy World of Work Week so far. A big thank you to our visitors who told us all about the jobs of a nurse, lawyer and Porsche product genius!
