Primary 7 were so excited to show their Primary 1 buddies the fairy trail they made for Outdoor Classroom Day today. We worked hard to create each door, fairy and write about them. If you see our QR codes you can scan them and learn all about the fairy that lives there!

Primary 4 have been learning about The Romans in Social Studies. They are very proud of their beautiful paintings of the Colosseum. 🎨

Primary 4 had a very busy week! We had visitors from a gym manager, a solicitor, a project manager, the ambulance service, an engineer and Scotrail. We also visited Paisley Library. 🤩

Primary 7 have shown excellent badminton skills and sportsmanship this morning! 🏸

Primary 6 are very thankful to all of the World of Work visitors who came into our class this week. We were very inspired! We learned about the types of industries that we could go into, the qualifications required and the skills we need to develop.

Thank you to our Garden Committee who told us about their plans to turn an area of our grounds into a Sensory Garden for all of us to enjoy.

Primary 6 visited the Paisley Library. We read some books, we coloured Halloween sheets and played on the play structure. It was fun! 🎃👻💀📗(posted by P6 Digital Leaders).

Primary 5/6 have had a busy World of Work Week so far. A big thank you to our visitors who told us all about the jobs of a nurse, lawyer and Porsche product genius!

Primary 6 and 7 took part in the annual road race today. Our pupils showed determination, excellent fitness levels and good sportsmanship throughout the event. We even had a podium finish! 🏅🏅🏅🏅Well done to our pupils for showing the school values in our wider community.

P1 had a lot of fun and learned a lot from our P7 buddies last week, working together and planting bulbs for our Edina Trust Project!

What a busy assembly! Today the Librarian Committee inspired us to care for our Library and explore new books. We also heard about the Meta-Skills and look forward to learning more.

Thank you very much to everyone who bought a book at the book fayre! 📕 We were able to choose some exciting new texts for our school library.

First term in P1 ~ There was so much excitement when the Fire Brigade brought a real fire engine to school to help us with our ‘People WHO Help Us’ focus topic!

First week at Puzzles and Pixels Club with Mr Wishart and Miss Mulheron.

We recently hosted a Coffee morning to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. We raised over £870!

Primary 7 recently worked with Skills Development Scotland to take part in a Lego workshop. They had a brilliant time applying and developing their team work skills and gained new knowledge about renewable energy!

P6 celebrated Maths Week Scotland last week. The theme was ‘Wild Scotland’. Pupils did a litter pick and collected data about the type of litter around our school area. We collected conkers, then created Fibonacci sequences with them. We also made the ‘perfect potions‘ by measuring and weighing. ⚖️🌳🧮

Primary 6 were learning about discrimination in Social Studies. We learned about historical and present day discrimination. We had a peaceful protest and made sure our voices and opinions were heard. 📢

Primary 4 were virtually visiting the Colosseum and a Roman village as part of their Romans topic. Pupils were able to describe the materials used and the shapes they could see. One pupil noticed that she had visited the ruins during the summer holidays.

Two of our older pupils represented our school beautifully at the recent presentation of the small relics of Saint Carlo Acutis to the St. Andrew's Cluster. They were a credit to our school. The boys also had the opportunity to say hello to Fr Ryan and Mr Henry.

Today we said a fond farewell to our Primary 7s. As per SJO tradition, they passed through our SJO tunnel. P7, we will miss you so much!

Some of our pupils have been designing a mural along with Renfrewshire Youth Services and artist Pete. It is now complete on the wall on Seedhill Road.

Our whole school fun day was awesome! Primary 5 had a blast 💥 Silent disco, bouncy castle, bench ball and ice-cream 🍦🎶☀️

Today we said thank you to a very special Depute Head Teacher, Teacher, Colleague and Friend. Thank you to Fr Ryan for leading us in a beautiful Mass and to everyone who helped make the morning so special. In the words of the children “thank you for being you and for looking after us so well”.

Primary 5 were fully immersed in their learning about the biggest rollercoaster in the world. They used our new VR headsets to go on a rollercoaster and travel to different cities. All pupils will use the VR headsets in the next academic year to explore the world. 🌍

🫧We were learning the science behind bubbles today! 🫧 We had so much fun creating our own huge bubbles!

P1 were so lucky yesterday to be able to release 5 butterflies into the wild to go and have some adventures! We thoroughly enjoyed observing them and even seen some actually push out of the cocoons!

Primary 5 have been learning about electricity. They used circuits to create a game or a model that could light up, make sounds or move.

Our Digital Leaders visited the Apple Store to take part in a workshop. We made our own emojis on Procreate. What’s your favourite emoji? 🤔🤔

Primary 1/2 were very excited to release 2 of our lovely butterflies today, they even stayed to say goodbye for a moment before flying away 🦋

Primary 1/2 and Primary 7 partnered up today to create some eye-catching and persuasive posters about the importance of reducing plastic pollution in our oceans!

P1/2 and P2/3 had a fantastic time on Friday taking part in our technologies workshop! A huge well done to the Digital Leaders for organising and delivering such a fun and exciting session! 💻🎚

Primary 3’s outdoor adventures continue with the Wildlife Trust 30 Days Wild Challenge. We have been gardening, filling bird feeders and creating an obstacle course with the loose parts.
