This week in D&T, Year 1 have had lots of fun designing and making finger puppets.

We have been learning all about traditional tales in Reception. This week Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf were in the hot seat and the class took it in turns to ask them questions so we could find out more about their story 🧺🐺

Spring has sprung in the EYFS garden 🌸🌿 The Reception children have been enjoying their new flower shop. They have done a great job looking after the flowers and taking turns being customers and shop keepers. 💐

The Reception children have been busy making Easter cakes and ended the day with an Easter Egg hunt. What a great way to end the term 🐣🍫

Year 1 have had a wonderful day at RHS Bridgewater. We have learnt so much about plants from the amazing RHS staff and volunteers.

The Reception children have been on a walk around school to look for signs of Spring. We found a beautiful blossom tree, bluebells and daffodils 🌸🌿

Today is the last day with our ducklings. What a fabulous ten days we have had with them. We have learnt all about their life cycle, we got to watch them hatch and grow and we have done lots of duck related activities. What an experience! 🦆🥚

We had some special guests in Year 1 today.

In science Year 1 have been investigating which materials are best for making a bed.

Sarah from the library came to Nursery today to share some Fabulous stories.

The ducklings had a lovely time at Miss Halls house this weekend. They are back in class now and they enjoyed showing us their swimming skills this morning 🦆🥚

Today in maths the reception children measured how many cubes long and tall our ducklings are. Next week we will see how much they have grown! 🦆🥚

Our duckling eggs have arrived in EYFS 🦆🥚 How exciting! We are patiently waiting for them to hatch now.

World Book Day! Year 2 have been busy making bookmarks and front covers. We even joined the BBC live lesson! We ended the day visiting the library and sharing books with our friends.

School council have been busy getting packs ready to sell after school on Thursday for World Book Day 📚😊

Some of the Reception children made a 'mansion'. It has a money pool, lasers, a tiger security guard, a car garage and a jail! Great team work!

There are some new books in the library to celebrate International Women's Day

This week the Reception children have done lots of activities to celebrate Lunar New Year. We ended the week with our very own dragon dance 🐉🐲

Year 6 did a great job of retelling the story of Jesus' resurrection using freeze frames today👍🏻✝️

The Reception children have been on a mini beast hunt today. We worked in pairs and searched high and low. Look at all the mini beasts we found! 🐛🐞🕷️🔍

The Nursery and Reception children enjoyed an early pancake day today 🥞 We learnt all about Shrove Tuesday and then enjoyed our own pancakes with delicious toppings 🍓🍫

Year 6 staff are really proud that every child performed a sonnet in front of the class. The audience were supportive and encouraging 😇

The Reception children loved taking part in dough disco this morning. It is a fantastic activity to strengthen those fingers to support writing.

This week we have been looking at capacity in Maths. The children used some wonderful language such as full, empty, half full. Great job!

This week the Reception Children have enjoyed doing lots of activities relating to the book Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson. 🐒

Year 1 have been making their own Bog Baby out of plasticine.

In R.E the Reception children have been learning all about Baptisms and even acted out their own Baptism for a doll 👶🏽
