Linocut printing in class. The SoftCut Lino isn’t the best, but with hoards of freshmen, we need an affordable option. They are learning the process and having fun.

Watched a Insta video of someone painting a bear in layers with watercolor and tried it out. Lo and behold, blue + red + yellow (does in fact) = brown.

The kiddos are doing monochromatic radial designs.

Students are amazing this year. This guy hadn’t really used oil pastels and is knocking out this. He’s also earned a full ride for college. One day he’ll be your doctor.

Mixed Media class is making Tunnel Books based on children’s stories. The spacing was a little close but it turned out super cute. Watercolor on 4 layers of think paper. Is that a Sheep in a Jeep, why yes it is.

Skill wise, this student exceeds my ability, easily. My job is to push her out of her comfort zone for composition or mediums. She’s hoping to be your future vet one day.
