Playing around with a Dahlia flower. I shot this in an antique metal funnel inspired by Weston's peppers. This is the result of 29 images, stacked in Helicon Focus, and then processed in Nik Software and edited in Photoshop. #dahlia #blackandwhite #niksoftware #flowerphotography

Creating images isn’t easy—I overthink and chase technique. But often my best work comes unexpectedly. Today, after a break, I played with an old Christmas tree stand, reflections, and layers. Color wasn’t working, but in black and white, the piece finally came alive.

I'm done with the wooden cabinet from Jaynes Reliable. I fell for the details and color contrast, but I found it challenging to find abstractions that are unique but not too busy. I think this triptych is my best attempt at meeting my aesthetic.

This one leaves a pit in my stomach. I knew I wanted to work with words but I didn't realize it would make me feel sick. So much for art as therapy. I will continue on this path. #erasure

I’m still not sure where this is going. I’m trying to interpret what I’m seeing with current events. My original concept was to show the progression from charcoal on paper to erasing it much like issues that are important to me are being erased.

An outtake of my Fact Fake image I created in 2019. This version included four words where the other was just a repetition of the words Fact and Fake. Honestly, I forgot about this version and feel it may be more relevant today.
