Watching Smilla’s Sense of Snow on SBS streaming. Weirdly relevant to current geopolitics for something based on a book written in 1992. (Author Peter Hoeg). I read the book in the 1990s and can remember enjoying it but (luckily) not most of the plot. Yay for SBS!

Feeling really disappointed about the Adelaide Writer’s debacle. It’s tricky as a Covid aware person to travel etc so I have to choose and plan carefully and now it’s for naught. It’s nothing compared to the sacrifices the authors/panel members are making but damn why can’t we have good things
