Have cramp in my hand from peeling and chopping apples from my tree. There’s approx 50% still hanging up there, despite all the storms we’ve had. On the plus side I’m making a vat of apple sauce and apple ginger cake is in the oven.

Bear now regularly sleeps on my lap. This has taken years, used to be he’d wake up scared and growling if he was right next to me. I don’t know exactly what they did to him as a pup but I’m glad of every moment he conquers a fear. Can’t deny it’s incredibly comforting to me too. #rescuedog

At my Bonfire Birthday Games night bash on Saturday I received a bunch of purple irises. That know it’s a favourite flower of mine. At 1am too tired to find another vase for them I cut the ends and binged them in with the Roses I got on Wednesday. Quite like the juxtaposition.
