Another thing that pisses me off is the insistence of left-wing groups on fighting among themselves, about minor details and purity tests. Instead of focusing on the bigger picture, they squabble in the mud about who is the most left-wing. A united front against authoritarian forces is needed.

Who are they protecting? Because it's not children and it's not their citizens that they are protecting with laws like these #ChatControl #Resign

Why are politicians exempt from the bad laws they themselves propose? If they vote through laws like #ChatControl, I should be able to read their chat logs and mail as well. If you got nothing to hide it should not be a problem right?

I only want three things. I want to be able to watch sports in peace, drink a soda in peace, and work at a museum in peace. Not spend every waking moment wonder when my country is going to pass undemocratic and authroative laws. Fuck.

Those who are willing to support #ChatControl or other laws of the same kind are two types of people. Either they are ignorant or they are malicious actors. Neither of them should hold positions of power or vote on such issues.

I'm incredibly disgusted by those countries (incl my own) willing to toss away their citizens right to privacy in a thinly veiled excuse to "protect children". Even more so when government and politicans are exempt to it. You are elected by the people; you are not more important than us #ChatControl

Just one more thought. Some people are saying the Online Safety Act’s about surveillance. Others that it’s about censorship. It’s both. The two go hand in hand. Surveillance supports censorship - if you know what people are saying, it’s easy to censor it. Further, it encourages self-censorship.

So uh, let me get this straight, regarding #ChatControl, politicians would be excempt from the dystopian mass surveillance law? because no politican would ever do anything illegal right? No politican would ever abuse a child right?
