I have made clear to my Whip & Chief Whip I will be rebelling on Monday if this is not resolved before the vote. I had family & friends at Hillsborough. I represent a family member of one of the 97. I will not betray the survivors, the families or my city. I urge the govt to reconsider

As co-chair of the APPG for ending homelessness it has been great to see the growth in support it has had over the last couple of years. However, there is a lot more work to do. Our main hope is to achieve our aims and finally becoming redundant as an APPG.

The murder of innocent people and the use of brutal violence against the Iranian people to suppress their right to peaceful protest is horrifying. I completely condemn the actions of the Iranian government.

At the end of last year, I secured £20 million of funding for parts of Kensington. Now residents can decide how that money is spent. I am in the process of pulling together meetings so residents are at the heart of local decision-making. Thanks to Sec of State, Steve Reed, for this message.

I believe the strikes on Venezuela and the capturing of Maduro and his wife by the US is a severe breach of international law. Whilst Maduro’s regime was illegitimate, corrupt and cruel, this is not the way to pave a better future for the people of Venezuela. (1/3)

Many survivors of domestic abuse are women. Too often, abuse pushes them into homelessness — where they face further violence and harm on the streets. This cannot be ignored. Support Crisis at Christmas today:

Housing First works. Give people a permanent home + proper support and the cycle of rough sleeping, crisis care and criminal justice contact is broken. 80–90% stay housed, with huge drops in hospital admissions and major boosts to wellbeing.
