A twitch of his eyebrow signaled the transition from amusement to some sort of concern. Mailed hands perched themselves under the ebony hair on his chin as he leaned down into a squatting position. She certainly had spirit, and he admired her venom funnily enough. It was refreshing. +

The sharp words from the woman were met with a chuckle from inside the helmet of the armored man. “I suppose they are in some way, mademoiselle.” His thick and flowing accent leaked from the steel of his helm, which he reached up to remove. He was a young man, no older than 25 perhaps. +

The wind lightly sighed, and the whistle of the air paired with the thudding beats of hooves trotting along. It was a destrier, light grey with black spots like motley dotting its fur. The creature was sporting a deep azure blue and bright yellow barding. Upon its back was a man in armor. +

They say that it’s darkest before dawn, and it’s similarly quietest before calamity. The silence of the castle was pretty violently broken as a furious galloping and yelling could be heard down a hallway. A grey destrier stormed down the hallway, running past Baela and down another hall. +

“A…a…vampire? Oh dear, well this is awkward.”
