I have not reached the "starting to look like something" stage but I have acheived the "able to stage a convicing photo" stage. Pictured are an EF210 pulling freight, an EF66 pulling the Blue Train, and the E259 series "Narita Express."

I didn't get much done today but I did change the red plastic lamps for these paper ones. They give better light.

A problem with "temporarily" setting up track to test part of your design is that you're bound to be delayed playing with your trains. For example, you'll be tempted to answer the question, "How does the Blue Train look running on this?" The answer, "Pretty good."

Scale speed is about 145 kph.

The top is not finished yet. I set up the shinkansen line to make sure it fit. It did.

I procrastinated today by adding electric light to the lanterns.

I finished the frame and legs. Now to finish the top.

Disregarding the dogfight above, the Shinkansen races to its destination. "Our duty is to our passengers. We must deliver them to their destinations, safely and on time!"
