Good to be back at our usual b&b in my home town. Going to see “Peter’s Field” tonight with @anniehornerglis.bsky.social Looking forward to it all and to catching up with Sheffield folky folk too🙂

Much brighter day although very chilly.Torrential rain here for most of the night. Pleased the wind has abated somewhat. It is Friday! Woohoo! Looking forward to another fun, 3 folky gig weekend. Work first though.

Goodness! These strong winds are wreaking havoc. Nearly blown off my feet earlier and did not envisage having to clean up so much debris from my garden this afternoon (including repotting some plants) 😬🫩 Hope it eases off soon!

After a wet start, the day is showing promise. 6.30am.

10 years ago today, I experienced something I’d always wanted to. On a solo trip to India, I was invited to an Indian wedding. Many tables of delicious food being served, incense, fireworks, music, dancing. Just wonderful. Overwhelming at first as I was the only English person amongst c1000 guests!

Having fun taking part in a charity cryptic quiz. 30 cryptic clues which all lead to the name of a fruit, vegetable, herb or spice. Some are proper brain teasers 🧐🤔💭🤣 So far I have worked out 20 of them. Once completed (if all correct), entries will go into a draw to win a Ropewalk meal for 2 :-)

Weekend loading….. a few busy hours coming up then two daytime rests and 3 back to back gigs. 3 wonderful gigs in beautiful spaces… one in a bookshop in Pickering, one in a former church in Lincoln and one at our very own Ropewalk, a stone’s throw from my house. Excited and ready for them all ♥️

It’s #worldbookday My little granddaughter and grandson have got dressed up for school. They take after me as both are proper little bookworms ♥️ Makes me happy to know that - it’ll serve them well. 📚📖❤️

16 years ago today my daughter and I returned from a 5 week volunteer trip to India. Life changing,memory making experience.We were involved in Tiger conservation and community projects. We were tasked to teach English/hospitality skills to these 25 yr olds. We’ll never forget our time there. ♥️

That was delish 😋 Salmon fillet ( cooked in foil with olive oil/chilli flakes) Twist of lemon. Avocado and vine tomatoes. Seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. Unsweetened fresh orange and mango juice. Easy, tasty, light and healthy 🙌
