Great day in Edinburgh @scottishdrugsforum.bsky.social hosting a steering group for peer naloxone with Simon Community Scotland and CGL - peers have themselves reversed Overdose since being trained how to #StopTheDeaths and are providing training and naloxone kits to people at risk.

peers reach people and places conventional routes do not! people with experience of drug use are best placed to deliver harm reduction knowledge in prison settings.

Our new study found 44% of syringe services programs (SSPs) distributed safer smoking supplies in 2022. SSPs distributing supplies had more participant encounters and naloxone distribution. Safer smoking supplies are a key tool to connect people who use drugs to life-saving services.
