I promised delicious sandwiches... and delivered. Crazy tender, thin sliced beef, served on toasted hoagie rolls, homemade au jus and pickled onions, cheddar/gruyere cheese blend and horseradish sauce. Guest >once: "Wait you cooked this for two days?"

#1 told me to take a bike ride after work while she riffed on NYT recipes. I returned to find a simple salad with a Feta Dill dressing and GF pasta with a sauce of mixed tomatoes, garlic, EVOO, wine, capers and basil. Underneath there were pan-roasted chicken tenders. Damn. I married well. 🍽️🍜

Sliced Flank Steak grilled over lump charcoal and hickory with a house chimmichuri, grill smashed potatoes, and green beans. Drank a 2016 Kirkland Reserve Rioja. I think I paid maybe $15 bucks 6-7 years ago and it was exceptional. 🍽️🍜 #BBQmunity

We didn't feel like cooking so made a plate of assorted meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts and crackers to have with weed seltzers. #1 did the arrangement although I did stuff olives with blue cheese and opened a package of my pecan smoked cheddar. (11 on the dial) 🍽️🍜

"Batch Martinis" are premixed and kept in the freezer. #1 saw this posted by Stanley Tucci so has to be good right? No. 10 Gin (425ml) is citrus forward. Add in 100ml of vermouth (used Dolin) and 175ml of water to simulate shaken ice. Frosted glasses to complete. Smooth w/a kick. 🍽️🍜

Hit the bike trail at 645a to beat the crazy heat. Rode 50 miles and when I got home I find #1 has made GF Blueberry Pancakes, thick-cut Bacon and fruit. And coffee!!! Lucky man am l. 🍽️🍜
