I spoke to a person detained by ICE yesterday, and it was heartbreaking. He is the caregiver of a young daughter, works two jobs, has medical issues, and has been in detention for over a month. We must continue to fight for real oversight at these detention facilities.

The Department of Justice publicly released some of the Epstein files without redacting the names of survivors. However, they redacted some of the powerful people involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. This is an attempt to intimidate survivors and we must demand better.

The DHS funding deadline is this week and a bill can’t pass without Democratic votes. Demand that Democrats hold the line and refuse to fund DHS without ironclad limits on ICE, actual accountability for abuses, and clear guardrails to stop raids and intimidation: act.indivisible.org/sign/ice-out...

We knew Trump was lying when he said he was going after the “worst of the worst”. And now the data confirms it. ICE has torn apart communities, gone after children, and arrested people who are here LEGALLY. Stop the quotas. Require judicial warrants. ICE out NOW.

As if communities' relationships with police weren't fraught enough, ICE is undermining trust and safety. "Some [local police] chiefs have worried that the fragile trust they have worked toward is coming rapidly undone."

I met with the Seattle Mayor, King County Executive, and a coalition of labor, faith, and immigrant rights groups to strategize on how we can all defend our community from ICE. We’re standing together and staying coordinated to protect our community from Trump’s attacks.

How is this keeping us safe from "the worst of the worst"? ICE terrorizes immigrants with valid refugee status, flies them a thousand miles away, then takes no responsibility for getting them back home.

We owe it to Alex Pretti and his family to honor his memory as shared by those who knew and loved him. This piece by childhood friend Kristen Radtke is truly a gift, and I read it with heartbreak and gratitude...

I’ve never heard of a “law enforcement” agency putting an officer who just killed someone back on the street under 24 hours. And that’s because all shootings are treated as homicides pending investigation. This is as clear a sign as you’ll get that DHS personnel enjoy practical immunity from murder.

The party that has spent unlimited resources and energy getting states to pass laws to allow citizens to openly carry loaded weapons anywhere - now believes that exercising this right is permission for law enforcement to murder you. Honestly, how dumb do they think we are?

NEW: A federal court ruling in Minnesota, which notes ICE agents broke the Fourth Amendment by entering a family's home sans warrant, lands as ICE faces scrutiny over a secret memo claiming their agents can enter homes w/ administrative paperwork alone.

Today's the last day to comment on a Dept. of Interior proposal to allow more offshore drilling, putting coastline communities and habitats at great risk—all at a time when American oil companies already produce enough oil that they export lots of it. Put people before oil companies!

Let's trust doctors, not politicians, with children's health. Thank you, Washington state, for sticking with the American Academy of Pediatrics' guidance on protecting children (and the general public) from preventable diseases.

Here in one of the world's wealthiest nations, how shameful that HHS cuts entire states off of the support for families and children in our communities who most need it...the very support that helps parents work, get a degree, and earn a chance to rise out of poverty.

This administration hopes we don’t notice that their Environmental Protection Agency cares more about corporations than Americans. For 50 years, the EPA has considered the value of protecting human health when regulating pollution. Not any more. Time to write my legislators…again.
