Today was the first Monday in a while where I didn’t feel so drained I had to stay in bed all day. I took Lola to the dog park, I did laundry, I cleaned (a little lol), I cooked, I did admin work for my poetry business AND watched 4 eps of Boarders lol. I need this kinda energy every day omg

50 breaks later, it is done. Let’s see how long it takes me to start putting together the nightstands 🤣

Finally finishing the assembly of my dresser. I’ve had it for almost 2 months, finally started putting it together a few weeks ago only to realize I did something backwards so I paused and today I have returned to it! I have 2 steps left and then I’m done!!! Still have 2 nightstands to do tho 🙃

I LOVE a functional gift! My sister got me this tablet/phone holder thingy and when I tell y’all I use it everyday while I’m reading or watching my kdramas…and I combined it with that little ring clicker that turns the pages, baby, no more cold fingers for meee! Be curled up in bed devouring books.

The amount of my grocery bill today was atrocious and most of the prices haven’t gone up yet (I did buy a small thing of eggs that cost more than last time I got them tho). I better not even THINK about take out or going out to eat for the next two weeks. Live footage of Kroger after I paid them:

Doorbell camera updates: 1. When I get home I hold my keys up & shake them in front of the camera so that if I lose them again I will at least know for sure they are inside. 2. I sat there & watched a delivery guy give my package a whole photoshoot, he was hittin all the angles 🤣 he said PROOF

It’s only been a few hours but the doorbell camera has already caught embarrassing footage of me trying to escort a giant flying mosquito (?) out of the entryway that flew out in while I trying to take Lola out for her night night tinks. I-

Got a doorbell camera set up today bc I’m not in the hood-hood but I’m close enough and my neighbor def sells weed like I’m a WITNESS but I ain’t no snitch (y’all don’t count)! But yeah, just a lil extra security measure to feel comfortable along with my alarm system and my very barky dog.

Also, I went to a consignment shop today for a tablecloth and found two paintings that remind me so much of my mom and her sister, I had to get them. Deciding where I want to hang them up and then I’ll share a pic 🥰

Finally reassembled my bookshelf…now how many weeks do we think it’ll take me to actually unpack my books and add them? 😅😅😅

Today I emptied the dishwasher (and filled it right back up lol), cooked breakfast, took the trash out, did a lil essentials shopping, organized the bathroom, and steam mopped the kitchen & bathroom. Oh we are so back! Energy levels are giving productive! Yes, I took lots of breaks tho 🤣

Went to Marshall’s bc my new bathroom is small so I need storage & of course I took my behind all over that store 😅 & I found this scent that just smells so good, I’m not a perfume girlie but I sprayed a little on & yesss, it matched me well I had to snatch it up. Imma smell so good this summer!

My energy levels have been in the pits lately. Today I woke up with a little more pep in my step though (like a pinch more lol). I am slowly working on organizing my new apartment, it's all one big mess since I couldn't find the strength to get it sorted sooner.

took a nap & had a bunch of weird dreams including ones where I either forgot I had a workshop or couldn't access the internet for said workshop & unlike the real life version of me, I didn't have a way to contact participants. Luckily I woke up a whole 30 mins before today's workshop so all good 😅

When you get an automated emergency weather call at 2am

Oh you know, casually under a tornado watch. I am storm prepared and Lola and I should be good. But this is happening on the tail end of my 13 hour shift and I’m sleepy but can’t go to bed right after I log off since a tornado not about to catch me sleepin.

When you’re in the middle of burning out but in denial about being in the middle of burning out…

I accidentally slept most of the day and so now I’m wide awake even tho I have to be in the office in the morning 😭

Just saw yet another video of plane malfunction and I am convinced that we are getting more and more coverage of these things in order to scare us out of trying to go anywhere…am i paranoid? Maybe. But this is ridiculous and the timing is sus…

Trying to watch a kdrama to relax and tell me whyyyy the mc gets in her car that was parallel parked and drives away and I immediately went into pout mode because it’s almost time for my work week to begin and I too will have to parallel park outside the office and I just…sigh. Grateful but tired.

Went to bed last night & air purifiers showed the air quality as good, woke up & it’s showing bad. My eyes were burning and running. That’s def a problem 😭 I opened windows and the sliding door and left immediately, Lola and I are at the dog park while it airs out…I think it’s from the gas heater 🙃

It’s been years since I have had to work regularly in office. All my “work clothes” are pajamas or sweat pants & crop top combos. We are back full time and I easily picked out yesterday’s outfit but today…idk what to put on…😭 what did i used to wear? Where have all the “real clothes” gone off to⁉️

I'm listening to music and every song that comes on I'm like "YESSSS this is mah jam! banger banger banger!" Like I'm surprised...I'm listening to my faves playlist 😅

I took a two hour nap today and I'm still tired.

All week I've been trying to figure out why all the water faucets get really hot water but not the shower, I've been taking lukewarm/chilled showers but...today I realized it's because they put the cold water handle on the hot water & vice versa...I-

Friends, be proud of me, I got my desk set up in my new apartment and I also have my very first duvet cover and insert and I put that thang on like a BOSS.

Finally got my bed built, got it made, put on my pajamas, got all cozy ready to watch something as I finish my beer and relax…wifi is out again. This time “for maintenance”. I-

1.5 hours later step one is complete. I almost cried but I didn’t give up. Fingers crossed the rest of the steps are easier, I can’t handle this otherwise.

Will I be sleeping on my mattress on a bed frame or on the floor tonight? Stay tuned.

Trying so hard to put this bed frame together but it is fighting me so hard. The screws won’t catch and if I hadn’t already put together the other side I would swear it wasn’t possible. I will not cry. I will not cry. I…

Today was A DAY. I’m exhausted 😴

One of the more annoying parts of moving is dealing w/all the small items. The big stuff is so simple & easy, yeah it requires the heavy lifting & will cause a sweat, but the little stuff...it's nonstop, I'm exhausted by stuffing little things into nooks or going "oops almost forgot about you".
