Yesterday, we had a workshop with our new sponsor PowerCo to develop a roadmap for the cooperation for the next 12 months. Besides a technical deep dive we had fruitful discussions on further events & formats for exchange. Thanks to all who joined us and made it a successful day.

This is Matthias Hartmann. He works in the group of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Zeier, Institute for Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry. During his PhD, he investigates the synthesis and evaluation of alternative ion conductors for the implementation in solid-state ion batteries.

Today, we continue with the introductions: Maike Gnutzmann works at the MEET #Battery Research Center in the group of Dr. Sascha Nowak. She focusses on "Direct Recycling of Ni-rich Layered Oxide Cathodes".

We are now back from the Bootcamp and had a wonderful time in Bad Sassendorf. A scientific talk by Tim-Patrick Fellinger from BAM, workshops on Mental Health, AI and Coding and (Micro)Structural Analysis using electrons by JEOL were complemented with talks by the BACCARA fellows 😍.

Today, we start our yearly retreat: this time, the BACCARA Bootcamp takes place at Hotel Schnitterhof in beautiful Bad Sassendorf . Three days of lecture, trainings and networking are in front of us, starting with a talk by our speaker Martin Winter.
