For esophageal cancer, your medical team will create a care plan based on the type of condition, age, presence of other illnesses & overall health. While esophageal cancer cannot be completely prevented, this list may help. Managing Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and other rare diseases such as; Barrett’s esophagus, Achalasia, Tylosis & Plummer-Vinson syndrome. Overall this cancer is a complex disease w/ multiple risk factors.
