Humans are compelled by a genuine quest, it doesn't matter the direction. It matters the commitment and that capacity to explore and transmit. The quest of learning is no different. Students are seeking a quest and they will engage with yours if it's genuine to you. No-one else can teach like you.

Watching my teenage boys these holidays highlighted to me a big gap in how they engage with literacy and language and how it is taught in school. Film, video games, YouTube and podcasts, it's so rich with language, just not not written.

Thinking about the perception of choice today. YouTube does this so well. It feeds you content but you feel you have choice over what video to watch. We can learn from this and provide opportunities choice in our classrooms. When have you provided the perception of choice?
