Why are so many apps SO BAD at focus and input entry indicators right now? Missing outlines. No insertion indicators. Invisible text cursors.

I don’t know who at OpenAI needs to hear this, but ChatGPT 5.1 agents are writing readme documentation with double spaces after periods and they need to stop that nonsense right now.

PowerPoint randomly and autonomously opening the designer pane while I’m moving something on a canvas, hijacking the window layout and my relative cursor position and zoom level, can’t possibly be accessible.

“Hey ChatGPT, help me write some terraform/biceps code for this resource.” “Sure here you go.” “It doesn’t work because X.” “Yeah, that can happen. This gotcha trips up everyone.”

Ullmark deserves a win for that game. I usually give refs a lot of slack but that was atrocious officiating.

I really wish the Azure DevOps REST API had an endpoint for getting all pull request comments by author (and type). As-is you have to pull down giant threads of every type of PR event imaginable, by PR. I don’t want to parse 80% of this but I’m forced to.

This ongoing Azure Front Door deployment and configuration block is ridiculous.

Hey Sportsnet, if you could stop signing me out of your very expensive app constantly and then not being able to restore my purchase and sign me back in, that would be great.

Just wrapped up the first episode of Amazon’s second season of Faceoff and I can’t believe they didn’t show any of their annual Will Ferrell Halloween costumes.

Adolescence (Netflix) is addicted one-ers (real or not). To a fault to be honest. It helps sell the real time nature of the episode but it makes some scenes very unnatural.

It’s kind of silly that netfiling tax returns to CRA is still blocked when capital gains need reporting, even when they are trivial amounts compared to the $250K gain threshold for when any of the rule changes matter.

The most unbelievable part of Back in Action is honestly that the 15 year old digital infrastructure key still works.

Somebody please explain to me why the office/M65 apps landing screen no longer has a search box at the very top. I used that thing to quick launch apps 10 times a day.

To Lativia: congratulations on the big win. A proud moment to be sure. To Hockey Canada: clearly the naysayers about your questionable roster construction and elite player snubs were on to something.

PSA for Canadians: do not watch Merry Christmas Mr. Bean on the CBC Gem app. It is several minutes shorter and miss tons of key moments. Just watch the lower quality version on YouTube.

I’m watching the “Dear Santa” Jack Black Christmas movie and I’m annoyed with the prop makers. The teacher’s tome of a copy of “A Christmas Carol” was spelled “Carole”. That book is tiny btw. Also be right back, I now need to write a script for a Hallmark movie.
