A month ago, we travelled for my friend’s wedding and my dad’s surgery. When we returned on 17th June, we found Trasno, our healthy, energetic cat, seriously unwell: waiting by the door, struggling to breathe, eyes watery and visibly thinner. Since yesterday, we are genuinely happy and relieved. 1/

What began as caring for my cat became a lesson on the realities of caregiving: demands, isolation, and lack of societal infrastructure to support it.
