WIP assembled and glued the mine thrower on my #Gaslands #Warden prison car. Filed the Lego studs down for scale (thanks @captainhat.bsky.social). Added mesh to the rear windows and might add a very large oil tank top the rear. Also, "welded" the doors shut.

Anyone watching #Pluribus on #AppleTV? It is engaging, high concept with many layered themes. Great casting and quality production value. I never got into #BreakingBad or #BetterCallSaul after watching the first season of each. They are great shows, but the sheer volume of episodes is intimidating

No hobbying tonight. My hobby space, actually the entire basement is taken over by a Sweet Sixteen sleepover birthday party. My wife and I are sheltering upstairs with the dogs.

Today's #DeskCar is the RD-10, a Racing Drone from the AcceleRacers series. I only learned about them from the recent Silver Series release. I had a couple from random finds and gifts to me. This one is part of an #Gaslands Idris team "Blacklight". The plan is black bodies with fluorescent stripes.

Sister Euphemia smiled as another gout of flame erupted from her weapon. She knew what her sisters thought of her. She accepted it for she knew that her hot licks were the only thing keeping the Noise Marines at bay. Her invisible duet with them is not heresy, it is salvation.

WIP mock-up of an improvised sludge thrower of mines. It'll look better without the blutac. Modeled after a clay pigeon thrower. The Lego studs are chonky, but it reads better to me. I might try something smaller.

Today's #DeskCar is the Buzzerk from the 2013 Hot Wheels Attack Pack 5-Pack release. The racer features a spinning (!) buzzsaw and a splatter guard. It was this vehicle that inspired the Death Race 2050 team and I sought out the Barbaric and Motoblade because they resembled this killer car.

Today's #DeskCar is the Barbaric, the one I have is from the 2009 New Models. This is another car for the Verney team, Death Race 2050. Like the Motoblade, it's got a large "blade" running down the middle. These cars are designed to be anti-pedestrian.

WIP The Warden has sealed in another inmate into a Capuz Preto prison car.

Today's #DeskCar is the #HotWheels Motoblade from the 2006 First Editions release. It's a #diecast race car with a giant razor blade down the middle. There's a driver figure on the right hand side. I picked this up for my Verney team themed after Death Race 2050. It fits that vibe of kill cars.

Here are all the moody blues I have in my #diecast collection. The only one I'm missing is Max Steel. Originally, I didn't want it because it's open top. But, I've been getting better at adding figures to cars. It's the same base model I used the Snoopy Driving Ace.

Today's #DeskCar is the #HotWheels 2021 Rod Squad release of the Muscle and Blown. The paint scheme is known as "Moody Blues" I've customized three of these for #Gaslands and might do the others. Alternatively, I might get three new copies of the Gaslands ones to have a complete set unnmodified.

Going to indulge in bit of a self-pity party with this post, but I'm kinda bummed that I didn't even place this time. I've improved with each build and hoped I cracked the "car guy" code. I even built side mirrors! Maybe the #Gaslands of it all is working against me. 1/

Today's #DeskCar is the Speed Spider from the 2025 Hot Wheels Mystery Models Series 2 (#8) for a Maxxine team, which are animal-based vehicles from #Gaslands most popular Saturday Morning Cartoon show, the Car-Toons. This car is part of the Tryout Team, but I need to source a Spider Rider as buggy.

Have to stay up to talk to China tonight for work, so might as well hobby. WIP Initial basecoat and deco for Wheeljack. I'm actually pretty pleased with the freehand. Also I think that the front grill kinda looks like his face. He is my favorite Autobot and I wanna do right by him.

Gone peg hunting and found some good ones. The Pass 'n' Go and Barbie Camper must not be popular with my local resellers. Been wanting the Ferrari for a while, found one with a TH. Picked up two Bugatti cars, might use them for the spy car CotM best to have a spare. The Porsche is just cute.

Ready to drop Tiger Tanaka off at the #diecast shop for this Sunday's meeting. Got a little display case for it, wondering I should secure the car with a bit of blutac. Gonna think about how to build a display stand with the case and something to hold the indec card.
