Today's #PocketCar is the Hot Wheels Turbolence (2002 Mainline). Not a casting I knew about until spotting this one in a loose bin. The sleek silhouette and bright blue color caught my attention immediately. It having metal/metal construction doesn't hurry hurt either

Today's #PocketCar is the Hot Wheels Hyperliner (2002 First Edition). I wanted this #diecast because it opens up to reveal the interior of the car. It's such a cool feature that I wish #Mattel could keep. But, like others, this function as removed when it was retooled.

Today's #diecast is the Hot Wheels Bread Box. This casting has been reissued many times, including an exclusive for Mattel Indonesia employees, Culinary Cars 4-Pack. It doubles as both a delivery van or a food truck. The large blank sides makes it a good choice for branded character cars, as well.

Today's #diecast is the Matchbox MB1344 '86 Volvo 240. I'll be visiting my parents and they used to have one of these. It's my travel #pocketcar.

BONUS POST on the last of the #Disney #Speedstorm racers, because I just uninstalled the game since the update sucks. One week is about the shortest time I went from obsessed to meh. The next batch are "others", including Nightmare Before Christmas, The Muppets and Figment from the Disney Parks

This batch of #Disney #Speedstorm racers are characters from the Disney live action films, Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean. They are good enough, but I prefer the animated characters more.

Today's #diecast is a rarity for me, an actual #FastandFurious Premium, the 1970 Custom Plymouth Roadrunner. This is the 2025 debut edition in metalflake orange. It's got metal body and base with Preferred Series Real Rider wheels (RRPrf). Will this be my gateway into F&F? Only time will tell.

It wasn't seeing the car gaining on me. It wasn't the massive gun barrel pointed at me. It was that damn chorus echoing in my head... and that last line. "Purple rain, purple rain Purple rain, purple rain Only wanted to see you underneath the purple rain." I futilely stepped harder on the gas.

I've been avoiding trailers for my Rusty's Bootleggers team. So, here are four trailer options. I want to make these trailers attachable to my other Rusty's teams, made of El Caminos and Station Wagons. Haven't thought about trailer cargo, just figured the mixer might work for at least one of them.

Continuing the #Pixar film racers from #Disney #Speedstorm, we have Up, Inside Out and Hoppers. I've not seen Hoppers yet, so can't really comment on how characterful the cars might be.

The next group of #Disney #Speedstorm racers are all from Pixar films. It is the largest group of racers, including Toy Story, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles and WALL-E, as well as other films. But, with the 4-image limitation here, I'll have to share them in a following post.

Capping off #Disney #diecast week with a very cool find from my visit with my daughter. This is the Tomy No. 55/56 Mickey Mouse car, manufactured in Japan in the 70s. It has a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" vibe about it, especially if it had it's eye decals intact. Found it in a vintage Disney store.

#Diecast Haul Report! Visited my local shop for my fix. Went past the premiums, straight to the $1 Hot Wheels. I love this shop and spent over an hour digging thru bins and chatting with the owner, Jack.

Bonus group of #Disney #Speedstorm racers are from "The Emperor's New Groove". A film that I have yet to fully watch (don't hate me). Still, this fact doesn't keep me from appreciating the design choices of these racers.

The next group of racers from #Disney Speedstorm are from what I could consider as the new classic movies. Lilo & Stitch, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero Six and Zootopia are some of the bigger hits in animated films since the Disney Renaissance.

Today's #diecast bonus are the #Disney Transport system. While the Monorail is definitely the iconic transport mode, the Disney buses are the workhorses at the WDW resort. These buses are everywhere and rolling constantly. Many of them are decorated with character art and matching color themes.

The last group of Princesses from #Disney #Speedstorm are the more Modern Princesses, Rapunzel from Tangled, Moana and Elsa and Anna from Frozen.

Today's #diecast #Disney Racer is the Space Mountain Astro Racer from Tomorrowland. This one is also my favorite of the collection. My daughter and I are tickled by the idea of a racer design being just adding wheels to the Space Mountain attraction. It's so ridiculous that it works perfectly!

Built Maxxine's Food Fighters for the #Gaslands Open. For cars that I'm keeping the original paint and deco, the build is usually just a glued on weapon. I want to do a bit more and will think on it. I'm also thinking of keeping the Sushi Tuner and Eggshelleracer, because I kinda like their builds.

#Voltron, #Arcane, #UmbrellaAcademy, #StrangerThings and now, probably, #TheBoys. These are all series that I had enjoyed to some degree, but completely skipped their final seasons. I never started and then the negative reviews sealed the deal. I wonder if there's a name for this behavior.

Bonus from the same era, but not technically a Princess is Megara from Hercules. She is joined by the Hero and the Villain in this group.

This next batch of #Speedstorm racers are the #Disney Renaissance Princesses, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine and Mulan. These were the Princesses who debuted during the revival of Disney animated features during 1989-1999. These Princesses are joined by other characters from their films.

Today's #diecast is the #Disney Racer from Fantasyland, the Mad Hatter Teacup Racer. My favorite of the collection, thanks to one of my main characters in #CoH being from #Wonderland. It really conveys a sense of reckless abandon with the tea spilling from the teacup and the huge plume of exhaust.

With this batch of cars from #Disney #Speedstorm, we take a look at what is arguably the second-most popular collection of characters following Mickey and Friends, the Princesses. Here are the classic trio of Princesses who started it all, Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).

Today's #diecast hails from the #WDW land, Liberty Square. The Haunted Mansion Haunt Rod is a hot rod with a pipe organ with flames shooting out of the side exhaust pipes. The front grill is a tombstone. This is such a fun casting, even though there is a A LOT of plastic.

Worked on another pair of Warden Wagons for the #Gaslands Open. I actually picked up these Hot Wheels Volvo Drift Wagons for their precious cargo, a couple of doggos! I will use them in another project. Since I had to take apart the cars to retrieve the dogs, I spent a little more time on the build

The next batch of cars from #Disney #Speedstorm are what I am calling Classic Characters, they all have a very English aspect. Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland and 101 Dalmatians have cars more specific. This might be because Mickey and Friends exist in a more universal setting.

Today's #diecast is from the land you'll enter on your left once you walk through Main Street USA. The Amazonian Jungle Cruiser is a racer version of the Jungle Cruise boats in Adventureland! The racer isn't bad, though I don't like the rope and net on the front looking like a goatee.

Continuing with builds for the #Gaslands Open. Most of these are very simple builds, I'll admit, just a mounted weapon on a #diecast. The Rusty's technicals get a camo paint job and the Miyazaki cars get a manga treatment. The Warden wagons and the Inferno trucks are more involved.

Today's #diecast continues my #Disney theme this week. I always get this way when I get back from there. The Disney Racers is a line of diecast cars starting in 2002. A lot of them are character cars, but I like the attraction or transportation based ones. First up is the Monorail Dragster.

I really like the designs in #Disney #Speedstorm. There are specific cars for each collection with each character getting their own design. All the cars in the game are open top, so that you can see the characters This first set of collections are Mickey and Friends and Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit.

Back from vacation and I spent the day as armorer for the #Gaslands Death Race Demo. Prepped a bunch of giveaway cars with armor and armament. Moved at a pretty good clip, as I planned out the builds whenever I was waiting on line, sitting in a plane or just chilling.

Started playing #Disney #Speedstorm while on vacation. Probably won't stick to the game. Too many microtransactions, very P2W and I suck at racing games. Still, I really love the drivers and cars. Wish there were #diecast of the cars. Here are four of my favorites.
