Got started on the 100 zombies for the #Gaslands Open next Sunday. Put uniforms on 25 undead guards. The minis are soft plastic that primer has trouble sticking to, still feel a little tacky after more than 24 hours. I slapped on some speed paint and giving it overnight to dry to avoid reactivating.

Today's #diecast is the third car in the 2010 Mopar Mania 5-Pack, the '71 Dodge Demon. I've had Chargers, Challengers, Darts and the Coronet Super Bee, but this was my first Demon. I'll admit to having a tough time telling Challengers from Chargers, this Demon is only going to make it harder for me.

No hobbying tonight. I took my daughter and her friends to see the "Backrooms" movie. They needed a responsible adult, but I went instead. Not that it mattered, they didn't ask the kids age and even let me buy a senior ticket without ID. The first half of the movie was better than the second.

Happy #Pride! It's just #diecast cars, but this hobby has brought me joy over the last year and I wanted to share. Mostly Mopar, with a couple of Plymouth and Mercury to fill out the rainbow. Full list of cars in the alt-text.

My awesome brother-in-law surprised me with over two dozen diecast cars at dinner last night. I've been looking for a couple of these like the Metrorail and the GT Racer. Others were great finds line the Porsche 930 and the Classic Cobra. And that Mercedes SLK looks like it was very well loved.

Today's #diecast is the second car in the 2010 Mopar Mania 5-Pack, the '71 Plymouth GTX, designed by Phil Riehlman and first released in 2001. I also have the 2023 Muscle Mania release. Both have beautiful deco and color. The blue makes the lines almost feel liquid.

I discovered Warhammer with the 40K 2nd Edition. So much of what got me was the artwork of John Blanche. His art is so intricate and invites you to explore the worlds he built. Thank you, Mr. Blanche, for all you've done to inspire an untold number of us.

Today's #diecast is the 2010 Mopar Mania 5-Pack featuring muscle cars manufactured by Chrysler and it's divisions, namely Plymouth and Dodge. Starting with the '71 Plymouth Barracuda at the top. I didn't realize this was a convertible when I picked this up. I usually don't get them for #Gaslands.

Double dipping with today's daily #diecast post to share some photos of the detail in these #castings. Don't get me wrong, they're not Premium, but they are pretty great for a Mainline. It's not bad at all for a buck and some change.

About little more than halfway through priming 100 zombies for the #Gaslands Open Zombie Bash. It's nice out today, but hot. So, the blue tac is leaving a lot of residue on the bases. They'll have to chill in the basement until the blue tac hardens enough to be removed.

Today's #diecast are a pair of muscle cars I got from the last meet. I planned on getting the GSX from this year, but found this beauty instead. The Impala shows up often in red as part of Fast and Furious sets and has recently appeared in Team Transports. But, I'm too cheap and got this for $1.

No hobbying tonight, taking a slight pause as I consider what to do next. Instead, I prepped a bunch of stuff for eBay, including Pirates CSG, Heroclix and Ertl Diecast Batman figures. I collected a lot of stuff that just ended up in a box. Will my minis and diecast end up the same way? Proably.

It's been sent, now comes the part where I worry until I hear it's been received in good order.

Today's #diecast kicks off a week of muscle cars and also the last of my finds from the last diecast meet. Muscle cars from the 60s and 70s really work so well for #Gaslands. They've got this vibe of being loud, tough and overly aggressive. That's a vibe you want when engaging in vehicular mayhem.

Some side-by-side shots of the two Amongus monster trucks. I'm happy with both builds, I think one is as good as the other and I'm proud to send one off to compete. I've built about half a dozen monster trucks now. Despite not knowing how to run them well in-game, I really enjoy building them.

The Amongus, Too will be on its way to the #Gaslands Death Race Arena at Wastelands Raceway. The build has been trimmed down per the 35 can limit, now armed with only a nitro booster and a front ram. The ram uses the same Lego assembly for transport. It uses the last suitable prisoner figure I had.

Today's #diecast are a trio of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) cars. I did not mean to get bit by the JDM hype and it's not like I'm all about Skylines and Civics, I prefer the older year models. It may be one note and somewhat corny, but all my Miyzaki in #Gaslands Roadshow Live are JDM cars.

Lovely day to go antique shopping. We'll, more like antique browsing. We never go with a plan in mind, just looking to see if we find something cool or unique. I did see since vintage 1:1 scale cars, though. Took some pretty pics of them to share with you all.

ZOMBIES!!! They arrived earlier than I expected. 100 zombies in 4 poses. I wish they had more poses, but can't complain given the price. They are close enough in scale for #Gaslands cars. Honestly, their size makes them stable and ready to pick up. They'll need a bath abs then it's time to paint!

It's so nice and sunny outside, I just had to take more pics in the beautiful natural light. Comparison shots of the two Amongus. I'm especially pleased with the personal weapon for the Amongus, Too. It kinda resembles the AK-looking weapon in-game.

Today's #diecast are a pair I picked out of the loose bin. The '41 Willys was a #casting I wanted from the 2026 release but got this playworn beauty instead. The Volkswagen Brasília, on the other hand, is near pristine. I love boxy little European cars and hadn't seen this one before. Both are cute

Amongus, Too build us complete. Just needs to dry before finishing details, weathering and touch up. Not sure if I want to use the camo pattern, even though it's canon. I don't like the way it looks. Might keep it black.

Comparison shots of the Amongus and the Amongus, Too. The Too is reminding me of the "Speed Dozer", probably because it donated the side exhaust pipes. I'm happy with how this build is coming along. It's just as good as the first and I would be proud to see it in the Death Race Arena.

Today's #diecast is a Ferrari Friday with cars produced in two different eras of the Ferrari license at Hot Wheels. The yellow one is before Hot Wheels lost the license in 2014 and the red one is the recent return. They are both Ferrari 365 GTB4s, but the red one is a "Competizione" model

Progress on Amongus, Too for #Gaslands. Decided against the side panels to show more of the details in the frame. Removed the roll cage for a more open look. Added a ridiculous set of exhaust pipes. Going to repeat the assembly to attach the ram. Will probably just send this ram, since it's done.

Ordered a Bag o' #Zombies!!! for the next #Gaslands Open. With the meet outdoors, I'll have a small card table and standing room only instead of a large round table and seating. Zombie Bash might work better in these conditions than the Death Race. Just hope I have enough time to paint them all.

While we're on the subject of artful cars, today's #diecast are the '71 Ford Maverick Grabber (2021 Halloween) and the '33 Ford Lo Boy (2023 Halloween) featuring "Dia de los Muertos" artwork. Many of the holiday themed series like Spring and Winter often have gorgeous full deco artwork.

Forgot to tag with #diecast, so I'll post four more HW Art Cars that are pretty cool. Just like 1:1 scale vehicles, the side of a van, truck or bus is a great place for eye-catching designs. Such castings are used heavily in cars with character IP. But, it's also a popular can as for HW Art Cars

The HW Art Cars (2015-2025) is a series of 10 #castings that spell out a phrase. They are not present in the 2026 mainlines, however. It's not popular with collectors, but I really like the creativity in the graphics. I'm not able to credit the graphic designers for this artwork, unfortunately.

Didn't hobby last night, made wallpaper for my phone lock screen instead. One car from each #Gaslands sponsor, plus two of my non-affiliated favorites.

Today's #diecast are a bubbly pair. The Bubble Gunner is designed by Larry Wood and he says that "collectors often gave him a hard time". There were only ever five releases. I love it. The Mr. Freeze DC Character Car isn't related to it at all, but together they make a good Mishkin Tryout Team.

The combustion engine burns with the fires of hell itself. The infernal flames wash over the possessed car, unable to be contained. Only when enough blood has been spilled, when enough bones are shattered and when enough lives have ended will they be quenched.

The same Eldar Guardian leader first painted sometime in 1993 before it was put away for decades until I dug them out of storage for repainting in 2023.

Today's #diecast are two futuristic police cars. Rogue Hog and Speed Trap, designrd by Fraser Campbell and Kevin Cao, respectively. The Rogue Hog, in blue, has a cyberpunk feel. While the Speed Trap has Judge Dredd vibes. Neither would look out of place parked next to the Blade Runner cars.

First pass build of the Amongus.v2 for #Gaslands Still had Nautilus hull plates to use as armor and used bits from an F14 fuselage for the side skirts. And another large engine. I kept the roll cage this time, but it gives a pickup truck profile. And not sure about the nitro booster in the rear.

Today's #diecast are a lineage pair. The Fast Fish (2020 Action 5-Pack) designed by Fraser Campbell, debuted in 2008. It is the precursor to the Drift'n Break debuting in 2024, also designed by Fraser Campbell. The Drift'n Break is a shooting brake (wagon) version of the 2-door coupe Fast Fish.

My genius wife had a brilliant solution. In the immortal words of S.R. Hadden: "Why build one when you can have two at twice the price?" She said build another and send one of them. This works because this Amongus build exceeds the 35 can limit. Not that WYSIWYG matters. Back to the workshop!

The best of both worlds would be a return label, but that's not really possible with international shipments. Not with USPS, UPS or even Pirateship Heres are WIP cars I could send instead. But they don't best represent my skills There's many reasons to send the Amongus and only one reason not to.

I am so very happy with how this #diecast came out. It may have started out as a joke, but the Amongus, nephew to the late great Lord Humongous has become one of my favorite #Gaslands builds. I don't know if I'm going to be able to send it away, never to return. I really want to keep this guy.

Found the Time Attaxi (2025 Spring) release in a MiniSo. Looked like it was clearance stock. It cost twice as much as retail, but that's just $2.50. Worth it to add to my fleet.

Today's #diecast are a pair of fantasy castings and a pair of licensed castings. I collect both. I find the hostility towards fantasy from adult collectors very odd. They want Mattel to stop making them. But, licensed is 50-60% of mainlines and nearly all of the premiums. Isn't that enough?

The drivers from the Skullrider didn't work out. Once removed from the car, they didn't look right. I used some 1:72 scale figures, cut off their arms and wrapped up with masking tape covered with diluted PVC glue. Using Lego to attach the ram, so that it can be packed separately for shipping.

Today's #diecast are four Hot Wheel fantasy cars. I wanted the Cyber Speeder and Retro-Active ever since I built Mishkin cyberpunk cars for the #Gaslands Open. The Spine Buster and Covelight debuted as #AcceleRacers. I can't afford to collect the originals, but I try to get variant releases.

Chrome takes a while in the dip before it can be easily removed. So, I built the support structure for the front ram. Trying to make a stable platform for the prisoners. Monster trucks have two crew, but don't want to add another figure. The rear grenade launcher can act as crew fired.

Not falling for the #diecast hype. Besides, I think people learned from the Supra last year. There's a ton of these things out there.
