Today's #DeskCar is the Jot Wheels Screamin' Hauler from the 2001 Skull and Crossbones series. This 1-seater roadster with a truck bed is a great casting. This one has #diecast body and chassis, giving it considerable heft. Need to get this prepped for conversion before the weather turns.

I keep staring at that empty space under the front of the trailer and want to do something with it. Does a belly gunner make sense? One armed with grenade launchers, it'll be an extra crew with grenades, so it won't need additional build points. It'd look like the smoke grenade launchers on tanks

I've been very lax in appreciating everyone's posts and I'll be able to do so more effectively now that I finally figured out what the "Mutuals" feed does. Started to feel that all I did was post my own shit and not getting more engaged with the community.

Today's #DeskCar is the #HotWheels '08 Lancer Evolution from the 2010 Nightburnerz release. This is one of the gift cars I received and the only #Mitsubishi in my #diecast collection. It's a nice enough car, I guess. A bit non-descript and kinda out of scale, so I'm making this part of a Tryout Team

The headlights glow eerily in the rear view, the brakes sound like screams, and the roaring engine is a beast in pursuit. Dark powers breach the veil on All Hallow Eve in Gaslands. They care not for races. They want only to drag souls across the ultimate finish line.

Calling it a night, I've made some good progress on the WarMOG. Painting is just about done. it just needs some washes and grime streaks and a few details. After that is the crew, final assembly, and then hitching the cab and trailer. I should do the tires, I hate that part. #Gaslands #diecast

The first batch of cars have arrived, and they my are awesome minis for Car Wars. They've already been zenithal primed and honestly won't take much to complete. But, first, just decide color scheme.

WarMOG trailer base coats are down. Used magnets to affix wrecks to lobber, allowing use as markers and/or ammo tokens. Made defensive barriers to be large diameter steel pipes with giant spikes and barbed wire. Will place them under the guardrails. #Gaslands #diecast #Unimog #nerdlings

Today's #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels 1995 Mainline Gulch Stepper. This cute little car was gifted to me and apparently the #casting had its Final Run on 2001 and the #diecast tool was subsequently destroyed. I kinda feel bad for the little guy. It's going to be a Tryout Team for Rusty's Bootleggers

Glued the wreck lobber and loading assembly. Added two extra crew to help repel and boarders. Also installed a dumpster dropper, which I'll swap with the mortar each game, both is one build slot too many. Can't prime, so I'll probably add more defensive measures. #Gaslands #diecast #nerdlings

No priming due to weather, so the WarMOG cab isn't finished. The chassis needs priming and painting. Everything else is done. The VoxMOG makes me happy. I also got one of his arms in a mid-exhorting pose. I love how the sanitation green and orange pop against the purple camo #Gaslands #diecast

Spent the morning on the WarMOG wreck lobber. Added a control cab, a giant pulley, and an additional motor. Will add chains to the pulley, the wreck ammo, and the dumpsters. Next is armor plating, defensive spikes, and crew. Might purchase extra crew to bulk up weapons.

Ugh, I used the wrong armor plate for the VoxMOG pulpit. Easy fix, but still, waste of a part

Reconfigured hobby area, added a folding table so that I could go through parts without having to spread everything out on the floor.

The WarMOG cab is based coated and mostly assembled. Spent a lot of time cleaning and forgot to spray prime the chassis. So, tomorrow will be weathering the cab, priming the chassis, and painting the VoxMOG. Hopefully, the final build plan for the trailer. #Gaslands #diecast #nerdlings

For an Adventure Force Spider Smash track set from a local freecycle group. My first #diecast track set, believe it or not. Tried running the Night Shifter, Hollowback, CUL8R, and Maelstrom through it. None of them can make the steep climb. Might have to put in fresh batteries or find lighter cars?

Today's #DeskCar is the Mercedes-Benz 500E from the Hot Wheels 2025 HW '70s vs. '90s series. This is one of those #diecast that I pick up as a collector and not for #Gaslands. It's a great casting with deco on the front and rear No idea what is do with it in a conversion,I just like looking at it.

Haven't had a good night's sleep, I've been fighting this bug for over a week now. Had to get IV fluids today at the ER. I just wanna build cars.

Watched a bunch of clips from "The Mortal Engines" and thought that a predator city would be cool in #Gaslands. Then I thought maybe a giant truck that preys on cars. And realized that my Scarlett Scorpions of Lost Vegas kinda already fit that bill. Their War Rig is the Phase 2 capstone project.

So, I think I'm hanging the speakers incorrectly on the WarMOG. But, I'm struggling between how it's supposed to hang and how I think it looks better. I'm overthinking it, I know. It's #Gaslands.

I don't usually keep #diecast in packaging, but this playing card mini-collection is really cool. I've got a duplicate set of Dealer's Choice loose cars for #Gaslands. I'm missing two of the more recent HW Art Cars, but they shouldn't be too hard to find.

The Screeming Skull placed 3rd in the build-off! There were some great builds at the meet. The top two build had a lot of great work and were very cool. I'm really appreciative of my local #diecast community. My friend and I might be the only #Gaslands guys in it, but there are other customizers.

My #diecast haul from today's meet. Found a few cars on my wishlist. But, also found a couple of pleasant surprises. After digging through piles of loose cars and rifling through stacks of carded cars, I am still enjoying the hunt. But maybe I'm being a little more selective.

No one in #Gaslands really knows where the Fly-By Knight comes from. No one has ever seen the driver. They only know that it arrives with a flash of lightning and the crash of thunder. The Knight appears at random events, only to vanish just as mysteriously. Leaving unknown changes in its wake.

Getting to the point where I'll need to figure out the base for the DMC podracer. The #diecast car is well fixed and won't move, but the flying stand needs to be secured to something heavy. Not sure how I'll do that. Also, I think that some wire might look good, but I don't know if it makes sense.

I've got to get working on the WarMOG. It'll take me near a week on the cab and the final build plan for the trailer. Once Orktober starts, I'm gonna focus on a Scarlett Scorpions Scramjet team of dragsters. They're my #Gaslands orks. But, tonight I'll try to finish the DMC podracer.

Attention #Gaslands enthusiasts, this is coming in the #HotWheels 2026 A case. I picked up a previous release of this for my daughter's very focused collection. It had a holdout feature that pretty cool. Too small to be an accurate scale camper, but could make for a convincing food truck

The #HotWheels Bon Voyage is a hot rod catamaran. It would make for a great #Gaslands buggy for the Scarlett Scorpions. Joining the Stingers, Strikers, and Shipyard as a Scrambler. It's got a metal/metal construction and a sail that can be folded down.

Sidelined by a stomach bug over the last two days. Not able to get any hobbying done, except for disassembly and paint stripping. Need to drop off the Screeming Skull at the diecast store to enter the build-off on Sunday.

Today's #PocketCar is the #HotWheels 2025 X-Raycers Crescendo. I'm working from a café in Wegmans today, waiting for the new foster dog to get groomed. Off course, I have to check the pegs. Really happy to have found this colorway because it'll be Mira of Huntr/x for my #KpopDemonHunters team.
