I feel like the reactions I’m seeing to Alabama’s playoff seeding is motivated more by lingering frustration over last year’s FSU snub and a desire for fresh faces than it is about the actual analytics. I honestly feel the same way, but I think it’s important to look at the numbers too.

Committee's field ended up being nearly identical, I just had Tennessee hosting the Round 1 game instead of OSU. I understand Miami being the Committee's first at-large out, but I don't see any bubble teams having a realistic chance unless they're playing this weekend.
