I give Dan Earl credit (and UTC AD Mark Wharton too!) While I wasn't in the naysayers when he got hired (how do you hire a guy with a 35% win percentage?), I did think it was risky. The guy has navigated lots of NIL losses and still gotten more wins 6 seasons in a row. Great job!

Besides the Waffle House Index, I have recently discovered (or invented?) the UPS Driver Index. This UPSDI is a gauge of how cold it is outside before drivers finally relent and put on long pants instead of shorts. It appears that the line between shorts and pants is 15 degrees.

I drifted away from organized religion about 15 years ago. I now consider myself a deist. (google it if you need to). But I have to say, I grew up in the Episcopalian Church and I am particularly proud of the church right now. Arguably the most caring and accepting group of Christians in America.

Put your real name on here, put your real picture. It's amazing how much more you will "check yourself" on what you say when you can't hide behind a handle and an avatar. It's good accountability because I am not going to say anything that I wouldn't say in front of my kid, or my boss.

Like many, I have not quit twitter cold turkey, but what I am doing is unfollowing on twitter every time that same person/org joins BlueSky...as the follows dwindle on twitter, the more time I spend here interacting with those I truly enjoy.

I think what makes this so refreshing (besides 99% less garbage) is because since there are relatively few of us here, there is so much less noise and people want to follow each other and support each other (because we know that is what will make this place work).

Really happy with the collection our merch team put together for RiverFest this weekend. It will be the first time CFC hasn't outsourced tournament merch.
