Sometimes it’s nice to go back and revisit the Masters. I know others have continued the different series he created but for me none can come close enough to his original works. It’s the 90’s and Spenser and Robert B Parker are clicking along very nicely.

Just finished Robyn Hardings ‘Strangers in the Villa’. Nice twists along the way and did the ending set up a potential sequel? We shall see…

Sometimes it’s nice to go back and read something from one of the masters of mystery. Erle Stanley Gardner doesn’t seem to really be published much these days, but every one knows the name of Perry Mason. A great relaxing read.

Just finished reading J.T. Siemens first Sloan Donovan novel ‘To Those Who Killed Me’. Always love seeing my hometown of Vancouver as the slightly dirty town I’ve always suspected it is.

Just finished Taryn Fisher’s novel ‘The Wrong Family’ a thriller that will make you realize why things are moved in your house and it’s not your imagination.

Just finished the #samwiebe novel ‘Guns Across the River’ or as I call it ‘Why Can’t Dave Wakeland find a relationship’. Great story set in my favourite dirty little town, Vancouver, with Wakeland once again doing what’s right and paying the consequences. Strong addition to the collection.

Last night for ‘12 Incompetent Jurors’ at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Next we take on the #theatrebc zone festival in White Rock! Brace yourselves!

Just finished #cameroncrowe book ‘The Uncool’ that was recommended by a good friend. Clever snippets of a life that make you see how he managed to interview legends of music in the 70’s and translate that to movies. A snapshot of him and life during a time of change. Well worth the read.

Just finished the @kareemabduljabaar.bsky.social and @annawaterhouse novel ‘Mycroft Holmes’. Once I allowed myself to see it as very prequel story of this Holmes brother and let go of my preconceptions the story roared along. This is not the Conan Doyle older Mycroft, but a strong origin one instead
