Throughout decades of mostly up, and some downs America shone as a beacon globally. Power shifted between the Parties with little concern about the country's goals or what we represent, until now. President Biden used to say "never bet against America". I wonder what his thoughts are now.

For the country to provide benefits for the working class, Congress members most never be beholden to the White House or corporate dictates. People are being distracted, as the country nose dives, and the rich and special interests plunder the system. Real leadership is required in a tainted system.

Trump's mismanagement of the economy, and his unprecedented lawlessness and corruption will in the end be the greatest immigration policy of the US, with guaranteed negative net migration to the country. The world is organizing away from the US at this moment.

With the increases in health care costs pending, the cuts to Medicaid, the cuts to food assistance, and the inflation spike partly due to tariffs, millions will realize that over a year ago they made a choice that guarantee misery for working people, and tanking the economy.

Tax cuts was never the answer to prosperity. It's a sugar high, the catch politicians use to gain votes. The debt has passed 37 trillion dollars now and the country is near broke. The infrastructure and public amenities of China and the ASEAN countries are vastly superior. We waste money on wars.

On paper America has the formula for the 'great society' correct. Guaranteed freedoms, racial unity, and inclusiveness. The problem is it's culture,and the lack of leadership to that end. The irony is that BRICS is using that formula to pull ahead because Americans aren't convinced of its value.

I can understand the hopelessness that has overcome so many. MAGA in particular, but so many others were prepared to abandon principles for a disruptor who would reset the economy with something akin to the GI Bill. That was never Trump's intention, and the system is rigged against that possibility.

It is becoming apparent that this presidential term is more about opposing everything and everyone prior, instead of positive achievements for the American people. History will undoubtedly record this one as just bad.

This administration is amazingly tone deaf, and seems unaware of it's hypocrisy. It is immune to embarrassment, and presides over an economy worst than it inherited. The cabinet is filled with inept characters, resulting in a loss of standing by the country to the world. What example is being set?

Right now we are on the verge of major military conflicts in three different regions globally, all of which can potentially escalate beyond their respective regions. A world without leadership, justice, and adherence to the rule of law is a dangerous place.

There is no bright side to all that is unfolding currently in America. Trust in institutions and the 'system' has immeasurably been eroded. By the end of this Presidency, the country will be facing a new world order, and a society dominated by AI. Anyone not prepared will be destroyed.

At the beginning of this Trump term when Democrats froze in fear. It took Bernie and AOC to show us giving into fear is paralyzing. It took Crockett to remind us our voice is our strength. It took Senator Van Hollen to remind Congress of their responsibility, but Al Green embodies truth to power.

For the sake of setting an example and playing the same game of MAGA in a Trump culture USA, James Comey, Leticia James, the arrested judge and others should file gigantic lawsuits against the DOJ for politicizing the Department and reputational damages.

No matter how GOP/MAGA hypocritically spout their nonsense about incivility and toning down the rhetoric. We would be idiotic to try to exist in a Trump culture of insults, crassness, and inconsiderate utterances, while playing choirboys. Bullies don't respect/fear weakness.

In less than a year we have moved from complete shock and outrage (knowing what we bought), to the FAFO outcomes, to actions of resistance. Now only the willfully blind isn't seening the absolute disaster and chaos of an administration and Presidency. Repairing the damage will be challenging.

Politicians, celebrities, and everyone who hold the believe that capitalism is somewhat a kind of sacred panacea, cares for themselves only. We have had Presidents who held financial organizations accountable, with high taxes, and had enviable economic performances for the country.

Maybe it's time to just focus on ourselves, loved ones, and how to position ourselves for the very uncertain future. We clearly don't hold shared values, and never will. As technology and the global community advances, so many Americans are invested in divisive positions of the past.

Some popular political talking points have been finally proven to be completely false. Phrases such as: * No one is above the law. * America is not a racist country * Opportunity exist for everyone * Lift yourself up by your bootstraps. * Government represents the people. They are untrue.

Argentina is a country whose reconning should not be postponed by African or Jewish American taxpayer funds. A country that systematically and diabolically eliminated the majority of the male slave population, thereby minimizing Afro-Argentinians, and the main South American refuge for WW2 Nazis.

Trump has always been a bully, and a bully does what he believes will not result in consequences. He was constrained in the previous term by mature, independent minded people. He is now surround with weakness and people with exaggerated sense of self importance. Supreme Court judges allowed this.

If influencial members and leader within the Democratic party haven't yet understood what David Hogg was pointing them to, they should watch the reception to Zohran Mamdani, AOC, and Bernie. It's about authenticity, work class upliftment, and disruption of the status quo.

When our people can live decent, prosperous, and just lives. At the point where leadership in America is about standing up for it's citizens, and the countries interest,and not for billionaires and othe countries, we will then be credible to lecture to other nations. We haven't made democracy work.

The takeover of fascism is becoming more undeniable every day. Draconian and ridiculous power grab by the executive, freedom of speech restrictions, agents of the state terrorizing citizens, and little or no recourse. Regular folks mainly focus on survival, but the tipping point is coming.

First three targets for retribution John Bolton, James Comey, and Leticia James have to waste their time and resources defending themselves against a criminal. Meanwhile, Kristi Noem and DHS are now targeting young black male using and manipulating AI. They are also attacking the Democratic party.

Trump has convinced simple minds that down is up, and he has awaked people and ideas that America has flirted with form day one. The 50s and 60s were great for middle and upper class white Americans, and sold working class a dream that has now become a nightmare. All this time the OCGFC schemed.

Many prominent American leaders and citizens subscribe to a belief in the American exceptionalism claim, and interpret that as a good and virtuous thing. Minority groups, countries destabilized and ruined, just and moral efforts blocked in the UN by the US stand in opposition to that claim.

The worst predictions about this administration and President are all being realized. There is nothing this guy says or does, however demeaning to the office that is shocking, yet his enablers provide excuses, while demanding that we show him respect. We need to respect ourselves and show it.

The protest was an undeniable success. The next move must be to mobilize the people to take back the House and Senate. We must select and out up the best candidates for every political office, from school boards to Congress. In addition, expend Democratic seats countrywide. MAGA isn't honest.

All of the MAGA talking points about the No Kings Day protest was proven wrong. Now they know what we know, the tide has shifted. Expect the worst of Trump's/MAGA impulses, they are desperate now, and their timetable to destroy democracy, laws, and our societal norms are going to be speeded up.

Those who flourish on a power high can only be deminished and destroyed by greater power and force. MAGA is not ashamed to say and do the vilest, the most divisive, and harmful. The people are believing in their power, that's good, but the people must decide if America is the past, or Trump.

Americans today cannot compare Donald Trump with his awful Presidential predecessors, James Buchanan, Andrew Jackson, and Warren G. Harding, because of the period when they served, but those other scoundrels could only influence domestic issues. Trump is so foul he believes he isn't going to heaven

There are two genocides taking place now both has USA involvement. One (Gaza) funded by Congress, and endorse by the current and past Presidents. The other (South Sudan) caused by the countries internal strife, but exacerbated by Trump, Musk, and Rubio discontinuing USAid relief to needy countries.

Can you imagine if or when sanity returns, replaying and listening to this country's current leader, cabinet members, press secretary, and far right social media influencers? Can you imagine us being hit by any other crisis in the midst of this chaos? I don't believe any of this is coincidental.

The Heritage Foundation and it's Supreme Court agents are aggressively reversing all the remedies of a constitution that was never intended to give rights to black people, indigenous people or women. Malcolm X asked the question, " If all men are created equal, why is there a need fo civil rights".

For the country to be functional it requires the four estates,which, are the Whitehouse, Congress, the Supreme Court, and the 'free' press. You can say they are staffed, but are they working for the American people? It's a rhetorical question, but I suppose the No Kings Day will provide an answer.

The West is now in full conflict with the East and the South. The former colonizers and exploiters are getting their day of reckoning. The West was built, maintained, and supported by the people and resources from the South, who have never been respected, and received crumbs in aid and excess.

I still don't understand what Israel has done for America that is worth the billions sent to them over the decades, that could not be achieved by the CIA, the military bases, eavesdropping, and satellite monitoring. Just useless death, torture,pain, and suffering. We preach freedom to the world.

Reasonable people who still hold conservative views/values, many on this platform are 'never Trumpers', some have left the GOP altogether. What explains those who call themselves conservative and embrace Trump? Unless the word was redefined, nothing conservative is going on now. This is fascism.

The world is a powderkeg it just need a flicker of fire to go off. There is the standoff with Venezuela, a country now a part of the BRICS. The West is yearning to tear down China for being too uppity. Steve Schmidt is correct, quiet is not peace in Gaza, and Ukraine/Russia are still at it.

All I have to say to the Iranians and the Palestinians is to be on guard and plan wisely. Nothing is what it seems. Remember the ambush in Qatar, and the nuclear deal ambush. Remember that.

I am genuinely at a loss. Everyone knows what it took to make this President make a peace deal in the middle of a genocide. The question is why no president before Trump couldn't settle the Israel/Palestine conflict? All it took was a gift and money.

The so-called "momentous" occasion that Trump referenced in his Gaza ceasefire speech is great news for the Israeli hostages and families, and also for the Palestinian people, hostages and families. Hopefully we close a chapter. All of this could have been achieved decades ago. Thanks Qatar.

Columbus day should really be a day to honor native Americans. We won't hold our breath, because the European culture has evolved into MAGA. The same culture that caused the black plague, 100 year war, slavery, colonialism, and a discredited science type called eugenics.

We are about to see either an American acceptance of the Israel/Palestine border, and statehood, or another big cons in history. Either ways it serves two purposes for Trump, a diplomatic feather in his cap, and pleasing Qatar. The lives of the US and Palestinian people are not a consideration.

When our leaders have abandoned the rule of law for personal and partisan expedience, democracy dictates that the people must hold them accountable.

Democrats will do better if they are sharper. It's not enough to want to help your constituents. Like Bernie, AOC, and Mamdani you must be prepared to hit the pavement, press palms and listen to the people. You must self critique your position, and be clear about it. You must be Sharp.

The world is being lit on fire not on behalf of any group of people, but to satisfy the Ego's of warp minded men, who live in luxury and benefit from power.

The mentality of superiority and dominance has held back the world, yet it still prevail. The evidence is that since the end of slavery, the dismantling of cast systems, and women's subjugation. The world has prospered significantly. We could be further ahead but for class and race inequalities.
