Musicals! In 6th grade choir class, Mrs. Erwin gave up (I don't blame her) and played VHS tapes of musicals for half a semester. Oklahoma, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Holiday Inn, and White Christmas! I only knew Disney movies, The Sound of Music, and The Music Man before that.

Genetics! In 7th grade, Ms. Godfrey taught me how to do a Punnett square and I fell in love with it. Majored in it in undergrad. Got my PhD in it. Have taught it (at varying levels) to undergrads every year since 2007. Have won teaching awards because of my "passion."

Time for the annual viewing (and sing-along)!

After several months of not crocheting at all, I decided to pick up my hook and make another Tunisian stitch scarf. Knocked out the first foot in just a couple of hours. 🧶

Finally set up the Christmas tree! Celebrated by trying some Wensleydale cheese with chocolate and orange. The candied orange bits give it a somewhat grainy texture but the flavor is yummy.
