Very important advise on how to deal with misinformation and lies, when confronted with them. Of course, works even better if you have enough background knowledge. But even if not, never start or end with repeating the misinformation/lie, at most in an embedding about what actually is going on.

Can a future large-scale particle physics facility be environmentally sustainable? That is a very important question, if you want to do science responsibly and self-respecting . This is a good question, and will certainly require a lot of developments, but here is a new open access assessment.

Ok, it appears #ClimateCollapse reaches #EPSHEP in #Marseille with smoke from first fire. Even can smell it, and should get inside.

People in (actual) power, quite obviously, consider most people (including you and me), as an expandable resource. Not the only thing going on, but a serious threat. As always: Building communities, exhibiting solidarity, and being empathetic are most important and effective as a counter.

Again, great place for a coffee break at #EPSHEP.

Unfortunately, again, and still, relevant. Everywhere: "Do not accept brutality and cruelty as normal even if it is sanctioned. Protect the vulnerable and encourage the afraid. If you are brave, stand up for others. If you cannot be brave – and it is often hard to be brave – be kind."

On my way to #EPSHEP in Marseilles, of course by train. This is not as easy as it seems, due to the alps and not too good train connections south of the alps. So, its north around the alps this time. Stick with me, It is about 34 hours total, though with a long break in between. Next stop: Vienna.

And, again, at Vienna. This time to organise a workshop to connect non-perturbative first principle QCD calculations, like lattice and functional methods, to the phenomenology of final states at high-energy colliders like the #LHC, to have better predictions for them.
