Changing the bed in this heat was NOT a good idea! The pillow case behaved but it was all downhill from there on in. And the duvet always goes into full on battle mode when it comes to putting a clean cover on! Oh well at least we’ll get the dirty lien nice and dry today!

I HATE writing Personal Statements for degree applications! I never know what to say and when I do think of something to say it’s trying to write it down in an academic way with out it sounding stilted or false! Starting with a bullet list and will work from there might help a little I guess!

Yesterday morning The peace and tranquility of the gardens @vindolandatrust.bsky.social before I climb up the hill to the Fort and the start of the last day’s digging. Today I get a lie in! (But not much of one as my body clock is still in Vindolanda digging time! 😆)

Yesterday involved a visit to Binchester and viewing of their hypocaust system (though I didn’t managed to stand it 😞#hypocaustgate)

It’s one of those ‘Roman Wall Blues’ days with the most hanging around and a cold breeze. But it was nice here at the beginning of the week as can be seen from the second picture.
