I was five years old, when I saw The Mole People on a tv show called Shock Theater. I was too young to realize that the Mole People were just a bunch of hot, underpaid actors doing their best to emote inside the equivalent of a cheap baby mattress. Nevertheless I was traumatised.

Trivia With A Twist: Bride of Frankenstein (1935). Ernest Thesiger — Dr. Pretorius — was James Whale's closest friend. Gay man, WWI veteran, celebrated embroiderer. Whale wrote the role for him. He didn't hide anything. He just knew nobody was paying attention.
