Making an American meal in France requires extra work. This is a farro-bean veggie chili with cornbread, just an easy weeknight meal. But a few ingredients required research, translation, trial & error. Farro: épautre précuit. Cornmeal: semoule de maïs, baking powder: poudre à lever. worth it!

Are you a fan of #BeaujolaisNouveau? A fun celebration of this year’s growing season, I always enjoy a bottle or two. I opt for natural wine producers to avoid some of the speed tricks, though it also carries some risk. This one was a treat: nervy red fruit with tart high acidity.
