The former debate kid in me enjoyed hearing Minnesota Urban Debate League members talk about the finer points of Arctic policy and watching Matt Entenza receive his honors at the Mayors Challenge. I've always looked up to him. (Literally and figuratively.)

Meet me on 130th street this Saturday, Sept. 6, at 10:00 am to march with me in the Burnsville “Fire Muster” Parade! The parade starts moving at 11:00 AM, and kids and wagons are welcome (sorry, no dogs.) There will be a job for everyone: blowing bubbles, cheering, carrying signs, throwing candy!

The death of innocent civilians must stop. Yesterday, a resolution in the Senate was offered to stop certain offensive arms sales to Israel. I support that resolution. It would discontinue the sale of 1,000-pound general purpose bombs.
