there’s been an epidemic of children/tweens in my condo’s gym lately — like with personal trainers and everything — and I find it so entirely odd that if I’ve decided to pretend they’re all mini athletes training for the olympics. Cause why are 12 (and under) year olds at the gym?

Building on this, but on the flip side of things, one day I’ll write about how scared Alex is at how quickly he’s learned to shut out the horrors he’s faced with so he can focus on doing his job. It’s a common challenge, especially in pd, and it can be genuinely awful to notice it happening to you.

This me projecting, but I’d love a fic that explores how, despite the fact he loves his job, Alex still finds it challenging at times to practice law. His heightened empathy is his superpower and he’s a natural mediator. But it’s also a common trauma response, and it can get so emotionally taxing.
