Gunslinger Girl - completed I don't recall the last time a manga ending make me feel so empty yet fulfilled. There is bittersweet succinct conclusion for nearly everyone - even the villains. I haven't read/watch many guns girls stuff but this is like the best I've seen the idea explored so far.

Some of the developments going on in the middle part of Gunslinger Girl (where I'm up to rn) are so messed up I can't imagine it flying on today's twitter, but it's such an interesting and sensible development for its concept that for once I feel genuinely gripped about it
