Already in the earlier stages of The Hollow Strata, I wanted it to be a sort of "post-collapse" megastructure: It had fallen into disrepair, but new, alien and sometimes beautiful ecosystems formed within its decaying husk. I try to make it be a grim setting, but not robbed of beauty and hope.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the course modern tech has been taking. I still remember a time where you could get a piece of hardware, or install new software, and it would work. Off rip, no drama. If I get something now, it can be hours of setup and troubleshooting first.

While the holiday has been long forgotten in the Strata, the spirit lives on (in a way). Happy Easter everyone!

Last couple of days really kicked me harder than they reasonably should have been able to. Switching from a day to night rhythm again, a bunch of appointments, and a lot more coming my way. You guys loving the past painting so much has been a real light the past days. Thank you (◕‿◕)

The more I think about it, good art seems to come mostly from those unshackled by comfortable conventions: The dog philosophers, adventurous weirdos, obsessive nerds. Those willing to think and live outside the norm, in whatever ways that may be.

Something that is crazy to me is how Blender is infamous for how difficult it is to get into due to its loaded UI, extensive feature set and so on, yet it genuinely feels only half as bloated as the average Adobe software right now.
