Meanwhile Misiorowski was also much higher than normal w/his fastball. Normally he hangs around 95MPH but tonight he was an outrageous 100+MPH multiple times. He hit 102.5MPH 2x! Totally dominated the velo chart tonight. Mixed w/his other pitches he induced 15 whiffs (the most for the night).

Glasnow did a few interesting things today that don't pop on his stats. 1st he effortlessly hit 97MPH multiple times though normally his fastball averages around 95MPH. 2nd that same fastball worked around the entire zone & particularly hit the lower left (glove side) quadrant inc painting the box.

Multiple outlets reporting that Manny Ramirez is looking for a hitting coach job... and I sense a MLB team's current hitting coach is about to get reassigned to something else. 🤷‍♂️

Pat Ragazzo of SI is reporting that the Mets are hiring Kai Correa as their bench coach. Correa has been w/the Guardians as their field coordinator as well as in charge of strategy for the team most recently. He was a bench coach w/the Giants prior in 2020-23.

I can fault the Yanks for failing to do a lot of things that lead to losing this series. Things that start months back like on/off offense, playing for power in situations that demand contact RBIs leaving RISP, and pitching woes from injuries. What I can't deny is the improvement to the SPs.

The Nets have been making some trades to get Haywood Highsmith & Kobe Bufkin. Highsmith had surgery last week & won't be available right away (ETA Dec. 2025). Not exactly high profile moves but they appear to be trying for a young team.
