It was great to join St Mungo's for an important panel discussion on the relationship between mental health and homelessness, hosted by Alastair Campbell. We explored where the system fails people and what needs to change. Thank you to St Mungo's for a thoughtful discussion.

As of today, the Post Office in Uxbridge has now closed. I know how upsetting this is for residents, who have told me repeatedly how important this service is. I want you to know I've been fighting for this since the moment the closure was rumoured.

I visited the Horton Road footbridge and West Drayton Station with Network Rail to discuss anti-social behaviour and safety concerns. We looked at adding lights and mirrors to the footbridge, closing off access on the canal side and improving security outside the station.

Our campaign for South Ruislip station improvements continues! Met with Network Rail to discuss larger vehicles hitting the bridge and pigeon mess in the area. Network Rail have agreed to install new low bridge signs and pigeon mitigation measures.

Great to join the pupils and community at Lady Bankes Primary School to celebrate their 90th anniversary. Since opening in 1936, this wonderful school has been at the heart of our community, providing generations of children with a place to learn and grow.

After meeting with @sarcoma_uk, I raised a serious concern in the House of Commons on a recent HMRC decision to charge VAT on drugs provided for free through the Early Access programme. This has caused pharmaceutical companies to withdraw, putting future access at risk.

Today's immigration statistics show the scale of change since Labour took office. Net migration down 82% to 171,000, asylum hotel use down by 35% and small boat arrivals down 41%. The numbers speak for themselves.

The Chancellor has announced a temporary VAT cut from 20% to 5% on children's entry to theme parks, zoos, museums, cinemas, soft play and theatres during the school holidays. Children's meals in restaurants and cafes are also included. Great news for families this summer!

Visited Uxbridge College to see how they have invested their share of the £4.6 million government funding. Great to see the improvements to the facilities. We also discussed expanding SEND provision and plans for a Youth Employment Hub in the borough. I'll keep you updated!

A lovely occasion at St Andrew's Church in Uxbridge to mark Middlesex Day. We raised the Middlesex flag and planted a tree to celebrate the church's recent Gold Award Eco Church status. The church was funded by the Fassnidge family in 1865 and is a cornerstone of our community.

Joined the local Barclays Manager and the Shopmobility team at the Chimes to see the Premier League and Barclays Women's Super League trophies on display in the heart of Uxbridge. Thank you to Barclays who were also out on the high street promoting fraud and scam awareness.

Proud to have been at Wembley yesterday to support Wealdstone FC. Reaching the FA Trophy Final for the first time in 41 years is an outstanding achievement and the whole club should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this season!

Lovely to visit the new Ambala store in Uxbridge and made a stop at Cake Box too! Came away very well fed with some delicious cake and mithai. Wonderful to see Ambala as a new addition to our high street!

I attended the launch of an important new briefing showing how the Child Maintenance Service is failing victim-survivors of domestic abuse. The findings from Gingerbread, Surviving Economic Abuse and Women's Aid are concerning and I will be raising them with Ministers.

Extremely pleased to see NHS waiting lists at their lowest in 3.5 years. The largest year-on-year reduction in 16 years. After years of record waiting lists under the Tories, this is great progress and a testament to the hard work of NHS staff across the country.

Visited West London Racing Centre to hear about the incredible work RC Vision are doing with young people through their STEM sessions. Hearing directly from young people, parents and the volunteers who have kept this facility going for over 30 years was very inspiring.

Honoured to speak at Hillingdon Women's Centre's 40th anniversary celebration. For 40 years they have been a lifeline for women in our community facing abuse, poverty, destitution and violence. The work this charity does changes lives and I am proud to support them.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and I attended a great drop-in hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. Organisations like Mind in Hillingdon are doing incredible work supporting people across our community and we must continue to raise awareness of mental health support.

Wonderful to join the Global Tamil School for their 5th Annual Day celebration in West Drayton. An amazing occasion honouring students who completed their graded exams, and a real testament to the dedication of the teachers and parents who have built this community school!

Residents at the Gouldings and Fairleigh Court on Pantile Walk in Uxbridge have raised serious concerns about drug dealing and anti-social behaviour. I have written formally to Hillingdon Council demanding urgent action and will be keeping a close eye on their response.

A great coffee afternoon in Yiewsley hearing from residents. We discussed everything from casework issues to anti-social behaviour in the area. All of the feedback raised will be taken forward and I will be following up on the specific issues brought to my attention.

Residents in Uxbridge are waiting over six months for wheelchair provisions from NHS contractors and cannot get basic repairs carried out. I raised this in the House of Commons calling for an independent body to hold contractors to account.

Labour’s Renters’ Rights Bill means stronger protections for 85,961 private renters across Hillingdon. Ending no-fault evictions, banning rental bidding wars, capping upfront rent to one month and limiting rent increases to once a year.

Residents have raised concerns about anti-social behaviour in their local park and presented a petition to the council calling for the gates to be locked at night. I visited them on site to hear their concerns firsthand and will keep pushing to make Uxbridge safer.

Pleased to see that under Labour, the number of patients waiting for treatment is down. After years of record waiting lists under the Tories, this is real progress and I look forward to seeing it continue.

When Hillingdon Council tried to cut £7 million from our schools last year, we campaigned and stopped them. This year, they came back with another £3 million in cuts. We campaigned again and the Department for Education has now blocked these cuts!

After hearing from residents about anti-social behaviour at the Pavilions Car Park, I raised this directly with the council department responsible and will keep you updated.
