I've heard from constituents deeply concerned about racist graffiti, hate crimes, and the rise of divisive politics in our area. Such division does not represent our community. I raised in the Commons the need for a National Community Cohesion Strategy to tackle this.

Pigeon droppings near South Ruislip Station have blighted the route to our station for years and are incredibly frustrating for commuters and residents. I’m calling on National Rail to follow the example set in other parts of London and install the much-needed nets to prevent further problems.

I met with Brunel University's Student Union to hear about how the Government can deliver for further education and what matters to the student body in our area 🧑🎓

I visited ARCH – the Hillingdon Addictions Service in Uxbridge – to view the facilities, including the wellbeing clinic and the beautiful garden maintained by service users. ARCH offers a variety of interventions and treatments that recognise the complexities of addiction.

Defibrillators save lives ❤️ But in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, we are well below the national average, with 69% of postcodes outside the recommended distance from these vital devices. We must work with government at every level to improve accessibility in our area ⚡

We all want to see an end to the use of the Conservative’s policy of housing asylum seekers in hotels. Ahead of planned protests this week I'm calling for calm and unity across the borough and the avoidance of violence or disorder within our community. My statement below:

Too often, criminals wearing face coverings commit crimes up and down our high streets and catching them proves incredibly difficult. I'm calling for a new Public Space Protection Order in Hillingdon to ban them. I hope the council will now give the police the powers they need.

A very scenic visit with London Wildlife Trust to Gutteridge Wood and Meadows 🌳 We discussed the importance of nature and how we can rewild and restore our woodland, rivers and wildflower meadows 👏

I visited Shooting Stars Hospice to learn about the work they do in supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families. The team does incredible work supporting families through the most difficult of times and I support calls for long-term funding for hospices.

Through drama and movement, GiveSpace CIC offers mental health support to people across Hillingdon and beyond. It was great to catch up and have a productive conversation about the importance of accessible mental health support for all.

I'm deeply concerned about the possible closure of Hayes Police Station’s front desk. I wrote to the Met Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, outlining the need to ensure all alternatives are explored and that proper analysis of the potential impacts is conducted.

I was honoured to meet with British Forces in Cyprus as part of my year on the RAF Parliamentary Scheme. I saw first-hand the vital work British Forces do to keep us safe and heard about what support they and their families need.

I joined the Environment Agency in Ruislip Gardens on streets impacted by flooding last year. The damage done by flooding is horrendous. We need proper measures to prevent & reduce flooding in the worst-hit areas, and I’ll work with the right bodies to make this happen.

I joined the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at Uxbridge Cemetery to learn the stories of our brave servicemen and women involved in the war effort. The Commission maintains and honours the graves and memories of those who gave their lives for our freedom.

It was great to host a roundtable in Parliament on the need for SEND reform. I've heard from too many parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals about how the current system is failing children and young people in Hillingdon. It is clear that the time for change is now.

On last week's Health and Social Care Select Committee, we spoke to the Secretary of State, Wes Streeting, about what this Government is doing to get the NHS back on its feet. Investment in NHS Neighbourhood Hubs has the potential to transform patient experiences – providing care closer to home.
