Last night Berkeley City Council approved the staff recommendation for a wide parking-protected bikeway & bus boarding islands on Telegraph Ave, Woolsey to Dwight! The plan includes bus lanes around Ashby to address the primary transit delays.

On Sunday we delivered a ghost bike to the celebration of David Herman, who was killed by a driver while riding his bike on 7/4. We installed the ghost bike today. We also put flowers on Nathan Krasnopoler's ghost bike on Sunday. He died Aug 10, 2011, months after being hit.

This past April, 32 year old single father Da'Jon Kee was struck and killed by a driver, while he was biking to work in Antioch on Lone Tree Way near the intersection of James Donlon Boulevard. Da'Jon suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of the collision and died in the hospital on May 1.
