After fifteen years of replacing starter motors and ignition switches I think we have finally sourced the issue: a corroded wire on the subframe causing excessive heat to the components. Fingers crossed.

This base sixth generation Honda Civic CX is truly spartan, with small steel 13” wheels, manual windows and no rear wiper. It was rare and difficult to find even when new, being a “value leader” model for advertising purposes. Most dealers rarely had them, the cheapest stocked being DX models.

Beautiful surviving Sterling 827SLi liftback at a show in Chicago. The liftback arrived two years after the sedan, and was a slow seller. They are extremely rare in this condition now.

Super-rare Jaguar X-Type wagon spotted this morning.

My stricken Mini suffered snapped coil springs on both sides, with the bottom seat falling out of the passenger side. The spring pinched the ABS sensor cable, breaking it. Both wheel bearings are also failed, and there may be damage to the calipers. Ugh!

With the march upward of fuel prices I’m considering a Chevrolet Equinox EV for commuting to the office. I get four hours of free charging there too, making such a move highly attractive.

West Yorkshire Police Motorway Unit Jaguar XJ in the late 1990s.

The 1996 Venturi Atlantique was a rebodied MVS, but using 3.0 PRV engines but in turbo form used in Alpines. Only 57 were of which a handful were in RHD. I managed to talk to the owner who owns some very exclusive cars, and he’s agreed to be interviewed about them for the channel. Very exciting!

I’ve photographed an Eagle Premier in the past, and I’m hoping to film this one in the near future which I’m psyched about. The owner also owns a Trabant, which I can’t wait to see!
