Finally figured out how to install my Steam games while offline. Unfortunately backup restoration, while a convenient function, requires internet. What I did is install the game, copy the files, then delete them manually, the client thinks the game files are still there, but they are in 7z on a DVD.

This game helped me realize just how many games I actually have. When everything is digital, it's really easy to engage in overconsumption, your brain never realizes that you'll never get to play all that crap you buy on sale! At least with physical media you can sell off your library.

IMO ppl are too tough on Diamond City. It's a very safe place to trade, making it a perfect bazaar for farmers, scavengers and merchants. NPCs constantly reference how they plan to visit DC to buy or sell something. Same goes for the two big cities in Fallout 3, the safety alone is worth it.

Reading Ryu Murakami again. Graphic scene of animal sex immediately followed by animal abuse in chapter 1, got it at a library, no warning labels. Book was written in the 70s. "Horses" self-censoring and still being removed from Steam and Epic is a huge blow to videogames maturing as an art form.
