I've been tracking follower growth of 100+ #buildinpublic accounts for a few months now. Originally, Bluesky was the clear leader for getting followers, especially for those that don’t already have a big audience. Unfortunately, 𝕏 has caught back up. I'm still hopeful for 🦋 but it is concerning

Instead of writing tests when starting a project, go all in with strict typescript interfaces. No any! With Cursor, it is much easier to enforce. Once you've baked long enough and want to make sure you don't break stuff, add tests. Puppeteer can record clicks and Cursor can scaffold up your tests.

I freaking love just giving Cursor the most pain in the ass but not actually that difficult code and it just absolutely one-shots it.

Importing CodeThreads into CodeThreads to build the prototype of CodeThreads so there can be a CodeThreads.

I know I’m supposed to be scared about AI replacing me but hot damn is Cursor fun to build stuff with.

For my Supabase projects, from the start I create all the tables via local scripts so that Cursor has the full context of the database. As I make changes, I use supabase cli to push migrations from more local scripts.

Just submitted my project to Indie Hackers via this post www.indiehackers.com/post/directo... which I made via a node ATProto script to pull posts from my recent Bluesky mega threads on submitting instapoll.run to various SaaS directories, then used ChatGPT to write the article from those posts.

I'm tracking follower growth for 100+ #buildinpublic accounts on 𝕏 & 🦋. Bluesky was crushing it but lately it is ~even. I suspect on 𝕏 the rich (in followers) get richer. Is 🦋 better for getting an audience for most of us. Let’s find out as I live code (prompt) with Cursor!

I really enjoyed the live posting earlier today building Instapoll with Cursor AI. It was fun for me and I think it has promise as a post format. More to come!

Just asked Cursor to do a major UI refactor of my edit form. I currently have an edit poll form on the left and a preview on the right. I want to unify these views and have instead an editable preview. Let’s find out how it goes together! #buildinpublic

Today I'll be making a video demo of Instapoll, my new #buildinpubic side project. I'm going to sign up for a new account then show how to create and share my first poll. A side benefit of doing this is I'll probably find and fix some bugs along the way.

What’s happening with 𝕏 growth vs Bluesky? Two examples from the last 2 weeks of data: If you have a big audience like @levels.io # of followers added is ~ the same for 🦋 & 𝕏. If you’re @ben.robertson.is then you”re stagnant on 𝕏 but gained 1.4k on 🦋 from a starting point of 700! In 2 weeks!

Audience growth showdown: 𝕏 or 🦋 Bluesky. I've been tracking follower growth rates of #buildinpublic accounts for the last 2 weeks. Unquestionably 🦋 comes out on top with a 2.5x faster rate of growth.
